Hasbro Playskool Honeybee Hop Review

Ok, so I'll admit that this game isn't perfect, but I still give it 5 stars... it was just so much fun! Seriously, everyone (Mom, Dad, and 3 year old) were laughing so hard while we played this that tears came to our eyes. My daughter asks for this game all the time... and because it encourages so much movement/physical activity, I'm more than willing to compromise on a few things. You gotta love games that both keep kids moving and laughing at the same time!
(BTW - Things I would change: more variety in the music & the ability to take the game apart... right now, it won't fit back in the box - both of these issues are minor ones to me!)

Kids will "bee" happy as they try to dodge the dizzy bee with a hop, skip or a jump. The motorized beehive spins the whimsical bee to the familiar song "Flight of the Bumblebee" and silly sounds, encouraging kids to get active as they play this creative game of keep-away. Kids can flee the bee - or chase after him. The 26" motorized arm spins at two different speeds to help kids develop coordination as they hop, skip and jump their way through this game of laugh-out-loud play. And while kids are focused on having fun, they'll also get to practice taking turns with their playmates. Includes beehive, two connector rods, honeybee and instructions. Requires 3 "C" batteries, not included.

I Play Super Skipper Review

I Play Super Skipper

My 3 1/2-year-old son received this as an early Christmas present. The music drew him in, but it goes too fast for him to "play" the game. My six-year-old daughter, however, loves it. The rods spin around on the base and the kids have to skip or jump over the poles. Even on the slowest mode, my son still couldn't get the hang of it. He enjoys running in a circle away from the poles, but doesn't understand to stand in one place and jump. And we still haven't figured out how to get more than one child to play and not run into each other or get knocked down. My son's favorite thing about the Super SKipper is the telescoping poles--he uses them as swords and "stabs" us all with them. A fun idea but not for three-year-olds like the box says.

3+ yearsWith the Super Skipper, kids can jump to the music as the pole revolves around the electronic base, but don't let the pole hit you or you're out! The Super Skipper has 3 exciting songs, 3 different speed modes and an acceleration mode that speeds up as it spins for the more advanced skippers. The telescoping poles fold up small for easy storage. Super Skipper requires 4 C batteries not included.

Fisher-Price Smart Cycle Extreme Review

Fisher-Price Smart Cycle Extreme

This is the 4th Smart Cycle we have purchased over the last 2 years (returned 3 previous thank goodness for the extended warranty). The earlier model, Basic Smart Cycle, has a known failure in the chip board which caused repeated returns to the store including one straight out of the box. When we called the fisher price customer service they were extremely helpful and sent us a refund which covered the cost of the new Extreme Version which we have had over a month with no problems. The customer service rep stated the old model, still available in many stores, has a known technical glitch which causes high failure rates. She had received over 2 dozen calls just that day on the earlier model but NONE on the new EXTREME. Both our 3 year old and 5 year old love playing and really work up a sweat while learning basic math, letters, and problem solving.

Smart Cycle Extreme has a rumble feature in the handle bar. It's a stationary bike, a learning center, and an arcade game system-all rolled into one. Smart Cycle plugs right into your TV, ready to take kids on learning adventures like no other. As they pedal, favorite character friends guide them through learning discoveries, games, and even exciting races. Bring the arcade experience home, with multiple levels of play for different ages and stages.Just like a real bicycle, Smart Cycle pedals are not interchangeable (there is a left threaded pedal and a right threaded pedal). It's important to assemble the right pedal on the right side of your Smart Cycle, and the left pedal on the left side. To help you, we've stamped and labeled each pedal and pedal axle with an "R" for the right side and an "L" for the left side. To tighten the pedals, you'll need to turn the left pedal counter-clockwise (which is different from how you would normally tighten) and the right pedal clockwise. Be sure to tighten both pedals firmly with the enclosed assembly tool and you're ready to roll!

Alex Monkey Balance Board Review

I got this toy for my 4 year old daughter. At first she wasn't that impressed; she had been hoping for a princess toy. But once she tried it, she loved it. She gets on it all the time while she is watching TV, and she also uses it as a platform for her toys and stuffed animals. It is small enough to not be a storage problem and a great way to encourage physical activity when it is too hot or cold to go outside. There is no weight limit on the product, so I've even tried it out myself!
