(More customer reviews)My daughter recived this set for Christmas. I remember the Sylvanian Family from when I was young and was thrilled to see these again. This was our first peice from the Critters. She loves it, we have since added on the house, a few families, some more furniture, the family room and nursery. Both of my kids will play with this for hours. The pieces are small so we are very carfeful and put them away in a safe place after play. Great for imaganitive play.

Mighty World Mighty Adventure Truck Review

(More customer reviews)I received this as a Christmas gift for my 2 1/2 year old son, and he was absolutely crazy about it (Dad drives one just like it). What surprised me was that his 18 month old brother loved it even more, and it's become his constant companion. It's really easy for little fingers to open & close the doors and put the figures in and out, and big & bright enough for him to find it easily in the toy box.

The truck comes with about a million really cool little pieces, but for safety sake I took off everything small enough to choke on, before the kids even saw it. I'll just save all the little bits and pieces in a bag until everyone is old enough to play with them.
I'm ordering a replacement truck now because unfortunately the old one fell off the back of a real pick-up truck and was destroyed. I still gave it 5 stars for durability. A pack of wild toddlers couldn't break this thing - it took a half ton truck flying down the road at 40 mph to get the better of it.
As the boys get older I will definately pick up more Mighty World play sets for them.

12 Vinyl Dinosaur Characters Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these as a favor for a two year old's birthday party. They are a great squishy, cartoonish, rubber ducky-like toy. The picture represents really well the style and quality of what you will get, and shows each style dinosaur. Three of each style come in the package. The only downside to these dino's is their size. The size is accurate in the description but when you see it in person you quickly realize how a willful 2 year old could probably shove the whole thing in their mouth and choke on it. It even says on the bag they come in, "Not intended for children under 3 years". Considering the product is a rubber cartoon dino, I feel it's marketed at the under 3 set and could have been made just a touch bigger to eliminate any question of a choking hazard. The size I really feel is boderline, so some parents may think they are fine and some won't and it probably depends just as much on the individual child. It's just a shame there has to be a question on this otherwise adorable little toy.

Animal Planet Soft Dinosaur Playset - 10 Piece Set Review

(More customer reviews)Our son received this set as a birthday gift for his 3rd birthday. He and his 5 yr old sister love playing with it and it is one of the most played with toys in the house. The pieces are sturdy with the exception of the tree. Within the first two days, all of the branches had snapped off due to their flimsy attachment. The only thing holding them on are very thin metal rods which snap if accidentally stepped on or if the child bends them at all. Neither of our kids are necessarily rough with their toys. The tree branches just snapped off during regular play. All in all, not a huge deal but irritating. The kids still love to play with it and it is by far one of their most favorite toys.

(More customer reviews)My son LOVES these blocks. He started with his first set when he was 3 1/2. He got this set for his 4th birthday. He builds all kinds of stuff. So far daddy has to help him build the actual bat cave. He does take the blocks and build his bat cave like structures. I love how he can play with what he builds because the blocks stay together so well. Its a great toy educationally too. It builds fine motor skills and encourages lots of imagination and free play. I would highly recommend these for any child that enjoys building. My two older girls (6 and 9 years old) like to play with these as well.

Calico Critters: Baby Playhouse Windmill Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my daughter for her 5th birthday. She has been enjoying Calico Critters since she was two and a half years old. As children grow and interests change, toys often fall by the wayside. I have found that the Calico Critters have great lasting power in our home that make them worth the hefty price tag. Yes it is plastic and yes they are rather pricey, but these playsets and critters have much longevity for creative play. As my daughter gets older, her play schemes get more complex and sophisticated making them worth the investment.
The Baby Playhouse Windmill is particularly cute with the turnable windmill and makes the inside mobile spin. It's nice to combine it with some of our other Calico Critter collections. The attention to detail is particularly enchanting to young children. Being that it is plastic, my two year old did get his hands on it and break off one of the little outside gates/doors, so it may not be ideal for children who play hard with their toys or if you have mischievous younger siblings around. This one like our other Calico Critter products is cleverly and intelligently designed and charms both the adult and child alike.

Fisher-Price Little People Play 'n Go School Review

(More customer reviews)I recall having a Fisher Price school house. And, it was sooo much nicer than this one. This is like one of those older tin lunch boxes we used in the 70's. I wish the quality of product was there, but sad to say it's not. I'd love to be able to buy a 70's version of the school house, or all the little people for that matter.
Shop at garage sales instead to find the classic version instead.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 6 year old's science project. We followed the included directions and performed the excavating of this Tyrannosaurus Rex. Things learned: Examining Teeth, Understanding Skeletons, Excavating and assembling the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton. It was raining the day we were going to do the dig. I decided to do the dig on our dining room table. I used play sand to cover the skeleton and then brought my son in to do the dig. This worked well and wasn't as messy as I thought would be. It's a fun activity and the model is designed to be taken apart and reused. The base of the model is a little unstable if you are planing to transport this to school like we did. I had to put a few extra screws in the 3 part base to keep the model firm so that we could transport it to the classroom.
