Melissa & Doug Deluxe Beginner Band Set Review

Melissa and Doug Deluxe Beginner Band Set

The whole set looks and feels unfinished. The wood is rough and uncured.
Xylophone is totally useless. Keys are made of wood. It hardly makes any sound and when it does it sounds very off-key.
Rattlers and harmonica work fine. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Dora the Explorer Polka Dot Girls School Backpack Glitter Flowers Boots Review

Purchased this bookbag for my daughter who will be starting nursery school in sept. I wanted something bigger than the normal size bookbags that 3 yr old carry so that she can get two years use out of it and it was just the size I was looking for. You can definetly fit a folder plus more in there. I am very pleased with this purchase. My daughter loves dora and the colors are very pretty. It is not your typical Dora design, which is what i liked about it.

Chunky Puzzle - Train Review

Chunky Puzzle - Train
Average Reviews:

My 20 month old loves this puzzle and figured it out right away. My 3.5 year old also plays with it, but it is more suitable for a younger child.
The pieces have been thrown, rolled, and bitten and is virtually indestructible.
You must supervise your young ones because the 'chimney' piece is small and poses a choking hazard.
Well worth the $7+ and I'm considering buying the other puzzles in this series...
LOVE IT :)

Learning Resources Count and Stack Dishes Review

Learning Resources Count and Stack Dishes

My two-year-old daughter received these for Christmas, and in the month since then, they've been in constant use all over our house.
I'm not going to try to explain why she loves them, or why (despite my best efforts) she has no interest in using them as a set. But she's often carrying some treasure or other in one of the cups, or presenting me with a piece of wooden birthday cake (Melissa & Doug Birthday Party Birthday Cake on one of the saucers.
I like that there's just ten pieces, rather than the ginormous 30- or 40- piece tea sets I see out there. I also like that there's an opportunity to talk about colors, shapes, and numbers with her as we use them. I bought them on clearance for less than half of their current price, so it was a good deal for me as well.
I rated them low on durability because I'm pretty sure they'll break once they get stepped on, and because the printing on them is a little blurred on a couple of the dishes-- more a sign of poor quality than poor durability, I guess.
However, all in all, they've been a huge hit with her, and I'd recommend them.

Kids attending this party get more than tea. Cups and plates have coordinated numbers, colors and shapes to teach number recognition and early math skills. Each of the five dishwasher safe cups and plates is made of sturdy plastic and fits together for stacking, which reinforces fine motor skills. Cups measure 2.5", and plates measure 6" in diameter.

Vtech Ride and Learn Giraffe Bike Review

Vtech Ride and Learn Giraffe Bike
Average Reviews:

This toy was given to my two year old on his birthday. It was difficult for him at first but he has improved his balance and coordination trying to pedal. He only spends short amounts of time on it but this is true with most things. It is also quite cute to hear him repeating the alphabet as it sings to him especially since he is a little boy not wanting to talk very much. I think it is great for his age as it does challenge him. I wish the music had a volume button as it is a little loud. It is light enough that he can drag to other rooms. Another reviewer said is was boring for his 4 year old and my little guy will probably be done with it by then but for right now he is enjoying it.

Bean Bag Toss Review

Bean Bag Toss
Average Reviews:

Please note the dimensions of the toy 11x11 inches and the bean bags are TINY (2x2 inches). Just wasn't what I was expecting. Plastic base is cheap and flimsy - don't expect a lot of durability out of this toy. But it is cheap and fun.

Lunch Box Games - Jelly Bean Jumble Review

Lunch Box Games - Jelly Bean Jumble
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This game is okay and my 4 year old day care child really seems to like it.
However the rollers don't always roll true, it is hard to tell (sometimes)
which color it is really telling you to take. I think the rollers could
have been made better. So far the game is holding up, only played five or six
times, but concerned that the rollers could easily be broken, especially with
some of the children I watch.
