(More customer reviews)We have the dump truck and a car from this series of vehicles, and my 2 year old son LOVES both of them. Both of them travel a great distance with just a little push (they go forward like those cars that you have to pull back and let go, except that you don't have to pull these back, which is great for a 2 year old!).
The box for the airplane said it was powered in the same way, but because those special wheels are only in the front (or at least, this is my guess), and not the back as well, it does not travel in a straight line very easily, and therefore is very difficult to control. My son finds this very frustrating. _I_ find it frustrating that neither the pilot nor the tiger tend to stay in the plane if you tip it even slightly, though my son seems to find this hilarious, so I guess I can't say whether it's a true disadvantage.
On the plus side, these toys are really well made (sturdy, I mean) and can really take a toddler's intense play!
Anyway, overall, I'd say this toy is really just average, and I found it very disappointing considering a very positive experience I've had with the others we've bought from this company.
