(More customer reviews)My son got this toy for his first birthday. Yes the volume does decrease dramatically however its a phone. When you hold other toy phones to your ear it blasts noise in your ear and you never actually use it as a phone. You actually can use this toy as a phone. Personally I commend the designers for this! Finally a toy phone that can be used as a toy phone!
I agree that it's difficult to hold a one year olds attention, unless you are playing with them and showing them how to use the toy. Maybe it's better for preschool age when they already understand the concept of a phone.
My son has enough loud noisy toys. I kept the phone and happily play phone with my son, feeling safe that it wont damage his ear drums.
