They are educational when used for counting, sorting, and color recognition. i orginally purchased the discovery toys bug game and we lost all the catepillars. so when i saw these, i thought perfect, more bugs with plenty of catepillars. they are durable and fun to play with. we even put them on the trampoline and hit with our hands to watch them bounce. great sensory activity!!!
