I bought this game for my family based on the previous reviewers recommendation. I'm glad I did! It really is fun for all ages.
As the previous reviewer said, the player starts out as a colored pawn, by the middle of the game everyone's pawn is covered with a ghost and they all look the same. Then the object is to try and remember which one is yours and move that one to the finish. The pawns can get switched around often and it can become easy to mistakenly move anothers pawn. The rules state that no one is to point out/correct anyone for moving the wrong pawn....so it can get really fun. It's a short game so we tend to play a few at a time.
My husband tries to trick the kids by moving their ghost covered pieces around as much as he can. The kids do their best to try and keep track of their own pieces but inevitably most of them get mixed up. Grandma can never keep it straight and I can usually remember which is mine but can mixed up which kid to which pawn. It's fun and a bit challenging for my 7 & 5yr olds. My 3yr old can usually play along well enough, he has a hard time keeping quiet when someone unknowingly is moving his pawn. We let our 2yr old play to mix things up a bit:) She usually doesn't remember which one is hers and will move whichever is closest to her.
Fun for the whole family!
