Konexi -Deluxe Review

Konexi -Deluxe

Other people have written that this game is like a combination of Scrabble and Jenga (which is largely true) but I want to talk about something else. Beyond the fun game that is described in the rules, the letters of Konexi are attractive objects both to look at and touch. If Konexi is left out on the table, people are naturally attracted to it and start making words and towers. Konexi also makes a great solitaire spelling/balance game. Not only is Konexi a fun game, it is a captivating (and well constructed) toy.

The gravity-defying word game. Konexi is the 3D word-building game that will have you pushing your luck and on the edge of your seat. Take turns adding letters to a teetering tower of words. Go for longer words - upward, downward, or sideways - to score more points. But watch out...the next letter may cause gravity to kick in and a Konexi collapse. It's thrilling fun for the whole family. ZimZala Games A wise person once said, families that play together, stay together. Well crafted board games can bridge generation gaps, build stronger sibling bonds, and provide brain-challenging alternatives to TV and video games. Best of all, games can be wonderful sources of shared laughter and fun-filled memories, for young and old. ZimZala Games are designed for older kids and those who are still kids at heart. They bring friends and families together to play, interact and laugh. Each game is carefully crafted and tested to deliver the perfect balance of fun, healthy competition, and long-lasting play value. The result? Truly innovative board games that your family will want to play over and over again.

Learning Mates Monkey Math Review

Learning Mates Monkey Math

My 3 yr old and 5 yr old like this toy. It gives them another way to conceptualize addition besides counting on their fingers. It is a good, tactile learning aid. They also like playing with the bananas in other ways (lining them up in order, feeding them to the monkey, etc.). They already have some math concepts from the LeapFrog Math Circus DVD (excellent!), so this is a nice addition to that.

When the bananas balance, the eyes on the 7 3/4 H. x 9 1/2" W. plastic monkey look straight ahead. If the scale doesn't balance, the eyes will be crossed. Includes instruction booklet. Ages 4 yrs. +."
