I Spy Memory Game Review

I Spy Memory Game

The game of memory is a great equalizer because little children are just as apt to remember where they saw the hidden images as older children or adults. This makes it great game for the whole family to play together. The images from the "I Spy" book illustrations are bright and creative. They don't match exactly- for instance, there might be two images of cats, but borrowed from different photographs in the I Spy books. So there is a bit more visual variety to spice things up. This is a much more attractive memory game than most, and would make an ideal gift for a child or family.

LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game Scholastic I Spy Review

I bought this thinking it would be like the books or our "I Spy Fantasy" CD-ROM for the computer, but it is nothing like either of these. There is one game choice that is actually an "I Spy" classic game, however, it's limited to 24 levels, and that's it. It repeats each time, so, if played often, it quickly becomes old. Another is strictly a matching game, set up like the Frogger game from the "old days" --moving pieces from the bottom of the screen to their match at the top. Don't get me wrong, my kids enjoy the game. My oldest (8) found it very easy, but it didn't hold his attention for as long as I thought it would. My youngest (4) really enjoys playing it and has no difficulty maneuvering though the games at all, although he tends to stay on the matching games. It's definitely a game he will "grow" with -the older kids, probably not so much. All in all, a decent game.

I Spy Eagle Eye Review

I Spy Eagle Eye

I bought this game for my four year old who loves the early reader I spy books. I wasn't sure if it was something that my nine year old might be interested in playing since he is often bored playing games that my four old plays.
We decided to play with this game for our sunday family game night and it was a huge hit. I was very suprised to see how much fun my husband was having with the game (he is hard to please). I have to admit that I had a great time playing as well.
game play: everyone gets an eye spy board and takes turns flipping over the deck of cards. On each card there is a picture for each game board. Everyone must find which picture they have on their individual board and must ring the bell (included) when they do. The fun part is that everyone continues to find their objects and yell second, third. For each position there are points for ex. 1st person to find the object yells first and gets 4 points, second gets 3 points etc., The family decides on the number that they will reach to determine the end of the game. For us 30 was perfect.
We laughed alot during the game, especially because my daughter who I was afraid might not find many objects was quicker than my husband and I.
It is challenging and fun, a good addition to the family game collection.

I gave this to my 24-month old as a birthday gift. Though yet too young to really want to spend time with the game, he is still enjoys matching up the puzzle pieces. At this age, it's a good 5-10 minutes of time on the floor with my child.
I like the fact that this game comes with a tin box rather than a cardboard box!

This game was given to our 3 year old as a gift and he loves it. His little sister, who is two, also loves this game. This game really helps to develop a childs ability to concentrate on visual cues. It is basically a matching game combined with a puzzle concept. There are no complex rules to learn, so within minutes of opening the box any child can begin to play and enjoy this game. As each match is made the child receives immediate reward and motivation to find a new match. Best of all is that this is a simple game with no buzzers or bells and is best played with the TV turned off.
