Electronic Rummikub Review

Electronic Rummikub

I'm a huge fan of the Rummikub board game and was thrilled to see that an electronic version was out so I could play when no friends or family were available. What hurts the game the most is the screen--it is very difficult to see colors, I still have to stare for a second or two but you do grow used to them, and the glare forces you to hold it at a certain angle. Another problem is moving the pieces around the board. You have to hit a button to switch between the table and your rack and sometimes you didn't pick up the piece when you thought you did, which makes it important to play with the sound on, which is annoying.
Fans of the game will enjoy the electronic version. I've played about 10 complete games and it gets a little easier each time, but the above criticisms remain annoying. If you're able to get past the fact that the game isn't perfect, then you should enjoy it.

LEGO PRESCHOOL Review

The description for this product said that it would work on PC or Mac. We have Macs at our house, and I planned on using this for my kindergartner girl. However, when I got it, it was only good for OS9. (OS 10.6 just came out.) So I couldn't even install it. I finally had to give it to someone else. So I was REALLY glad it was onnly $[...]
To make it more disappointing, my daughter played it at the other person's house and really enjoyed the game. It wsa a fun game. I just think that the details need to be more clear. Saying "PC or Mac" doesn't help - it needs to say which version.

Twin's Furniture - Dora the Explorer Talking House Review

Twin's Furniture - Dora the Explorer Talking House

We bought this a few days ago, and overall they have been the most popular Dora dollhouse items (you have to have the baby twins of course!). I was impressed that the rocking horse doesn't fall over when a baby is getting pushed on it, and how well the babies sit on it. It's a little tricky at first to get the babies sitting on the horse, but my 3 year old daughter figured it out in 5 minutes, and my 2 year old took just a half an hour to get it down (though my father in law still doesn't get how to do it).
On flaw in design is the stroller. I love that it can work for 2 or 1 baby, and how easy it is to adust it accordingly, but there is nothing to hold the babies in place! The baby sitting in the back does fine, but the front seated baby doesn't stay on for more than a couple seconds. After seeing my kids get so frusterated with it, I used some hair elastics to make a "seat-belt" of sorts, and now the babies can stay put easily, and still be slid in or out. I think some sort of restraint for the stroller (at least the front seat!) would have made for a more kid-friendly design.
The high chair we LOVE. The bar comes unsnapped at one side so it can swing open, but it's also really easy to slip the babies in and out without opening the bar/tray. It's really cute, and my kids have put it to good use!
Overall, I would definately buy this accessory pack again, but wish that fisher-price would take a look at redesigning the stroller ... mainly that front seat. But, we found a solution for it that works for us, and I am so happy with this purchase.

Dora's family has grown, so Dora's house needs a new addition to make room for the new twins. Dora loves to visit the babies in their nursery, which is packed with fun accessories. Mama stays with the babies while Dora paints upstairs or looks for clues to her next adventure.
Playset includes: a single-seat stroller that magically expands to a two-seater for the twins, double high-chair, a rocking horse, a three-drawer vanity, lamp and a duck. Part of Dora's dollhouse world. For use with Dora's Talking House, sold separately.
