Learning Resources Giant Play Food Set, Set of 80 Review

I got this set for my son for Christmas to go along with a play kitchen we purchased him. I was fortunate to NOT pay full price for this set, which I do agree is overpriced. I noticed today it is full-price after Christmas. We paid around $71. I wanted to share the list of included items with everyone, because that is one thing I really felt was missing from the product description.
This set includes: Apple, Pear, Orange, Banana, Cucumber, Corn, Green Pepper, Carrot, Tomato, Potato, Red Onion, Steak, Peas, Celery, Dinner Roll, Pizza (1 slice), Taco, Flan, Cake (1 slice), Pretzel, Muffin, Pancake, Hot Dog, Hot Dog Bun, Big Bun, Egg Roll, Sushi, Croissant, Bagel Top, Bagel Bottom, Spanish Rice, Hamburger Patty, Hamburger Bun Top, Hamburger Bun Bottom, Potato Chips (4), Watermelon Slice, Ice Cream Cone, Glass of Milk (2), Chicken Leg, Corn on the Cob, Mashed Potatoes, Asparagus Stalks (3), Head of Lettuce, Fried Egg, Bacon Slices (2), Glass of Orange Juice (2), Strawberries (4), Slices of White Bread (4), Slices of Wheat Bread (2), Slices of Cheese (3), Slices of Bologna (2), Salami Slice, Turkey Slice, Tomato Slice (2), Leaf of Lettuce, Oval Braided Bread, French Bread, English Muffin Half, Spaghetti, Spaghetti/Meatball Sauce, Fried Dumpling.
Basically, this means that you get the Learning Resources Breakfast Foods, Lunch Foods, Dinner Foods, Sandwich Set, Produce Set, Fruit & Vegetable Set, Multicultural Breads & Multicultural Foods sets if you were purchasing those sets individually. When I purchased the classroom set, it was much cheaper to buy this larger group. And, the plastic storage bin it comes in is very handy. I would definitely describe this set as an all-inclusive food set with no need to buy any additional food!
Overall, the food is very durable & for the most part easily identifiable. I had to identify things like a fried dumpling & sushi to my 2-year old. It wasn't because they were poorly designed, though...just not seen as often in his day-to-day diet! All the basic food groups are well represented, and the food will allow any child to create up a variety of imaginary dinners. All in all, this is a really great set! ENJOY!

Rolling Organizer and Saddle Bag Review

Rolling Organizer and Saddle Bag

I love my Rolling Organizer and Saddle Bag. I am an itinerant art teacher and need to carry alot of supplies with me. I used to carry a bag and my shoulder started getting really sore and hurting. This rolling organizer is great. It holds a ton of supplies and keeps it organized. It is light enough to pick up and put in the back of my car. I roll over rocks and dirt to get to classes and the wheels are fine. Love it!

Step2 Little Helper's Grocery Cart Review

Step2 Little Helper's Grocery Cart

If you are looking to buy your child a solid and sturdy cart that will hold up to any rough play, multiple children, can be used indoors and out and will last for years, then look no further. As any Step2 product we have used, this is very well made and would be a breeze to clean if it ever gets dirty. It also comes fully assembled :)
The way the basket part of this is, makes it work very well for both a cart and a baby buggy, They can lay their baby down with a blanket and even some baby supplies and off they go(it also has the front seat for a doll to sit). I also like that this basket doesn't have any holes so they can put anything at all in this and not have to get annoyed that it falls out. Also this has a place under the basket that you can put stuff just like a real cart(if I were a kid I would be really excited about that feature...heck, I am an adult and I think it's a neat feature)
This easily rolls on carpet and bare floors and will smoothly go over rugs or just about anything really. I agree with another poster who said they wouldn't recommend this as a learning type of walker, only stable walkers should use this but I think that is true with any kid shopping cart although I have read reviews from several people who said the Little Tykes was more stable for learning to walk(I would still get a toy meant for a learning walker such as Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker rather than get a shopping cart meant for ages 2 and up.
We bought this for our friends daughter on her 2nd Birthday, it was a huge hit for her daughter and my 2 year old girls. She also received a cheap/flimsy cart that came with food(Circo brand)...don't buy one of those just because it comes with the food. Spending more $$ one this nice sturdy one is WELL worth it! If you have twins or more, I would recommend buying 1 for each kid so they can 'shop' together.
**If you don't want to buy all the fake food, save some money and use items from your kitchen. All 3 girls kept ripping open fake boxes looking for food and getting annoyed they were all empty, lol. I think little boxes of raisins, boxes of animal crackers and items from your kitchen would work just fine and they can actually eat some of their groceries : )
If you have any questions let me know and I will try to help you out.
