(More customer reviews)My son got this in his Easter basket almost half a year ago. He is 5 years old, a huge SpongeBob fan, and has autism. He was enjoying matching games at the time, and so when he unwrapped this he was thrilled!
To say this has had a lot of use since he got it is a major understatement. For months it got daily use, and he still plays with it 2-4 times a week. Not only does he love it, but his typical 3-year-old and 2-year-old sisters try to steal it from him whenever he has it out! His 4-year-old cousin was also trying to play with it during the Easter festivities.
I found that it was great for his vocabulary (he would label the picture on a card when it went missing), especially. And I liked that there are a ton of cards in the set...that way you can vary small games or do one big game if you want more of a challenge. He could take 10-16 cards to school in a ziploc bag and use them as a reinforcer.
This was WELL worth the cost, and I recommend it to anyone with a preschooler/kindergartener who likes SpongeBob!

(More customer reviews)This is what my 6 year old daughter wanted for Christmas from Santa. She was delighted. She often takes this with her in the car and tells her brothers to be quiet, she has to work! So far she had just enjoyed this item, I'll have to give an update on durability and educational value. It seems to have great teaching potential but the bottom line is if the child doesn't utilize it in that capacity, it's not really a great educational tool.

LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game SpongeBob SquarePants Saves the Day Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great game. I would not recommend it for children under 4 unless your child is just extremely advanced. My 4 yo can play some areas of the game easily, but the word areas are more difficult and he becomes frustrated. BUT for kindergarteners this game is just right. My 6 yo is learning a lot, and unlike other learning software, she doesn't mind playing it because it's fun and of course there is the very cute and charismatic Sponge Bob.
The goal of the game is to get ingredients to make a new secret sauce. Upon completing the different areas of the game you are given some of the ingredients to make the sauce. So the children get the sense of reward for all of their work. That's been enough motivation for my daughter. It teaches counting, math, letters, word building, and there's music (I'm probably leaving a few things out) It's wonderful, a must have for all leapster owners.

Ants In The Pants Spongebob Edition Review

(More customer reviews)I remember having an ants in the pants toy when I was young so when I saw this SpongeBob version I thought my 4 year old would love it since she loves everything Spongebob.
It was way to difficult for her to be able to get the ants to fly. But even my 6, 7 and 9 year old had trouble with it. They are usually very easy to please and enjoy most games and toys. But they found this to be a little difficult and just not enough to keep them interested for more than about 3 or 4 minutes. Now these kids are not the type that get bored easily or are hard to please but this one didn't do it for them at all.
