The weight of it is heavy duty and will last for years to come! It's not an eyesore color like some pocket charts to have hanging in my dining room, and the kids love having somewhere that their work will always be. I highly recommend this pocket chart to anyone that needs some extra storage space for file folders or workbooks!

Plastic Magnetic Letters (set of 36) Review

You can buy them cheaper at other places but I got them on Amazon because I was ordering some other things and I got free shipping. Some of the letters fall off the fridge since the magnetic strip is so small and often only on one side of the letter!
I would buy different letters somewhere else.

I have long been a fan of LeapFrog Products and both of my children have benefited greatly from their innovative and highly educational products.
I bought this item yesterday and my 4-year-old loves it. We spent some time working on a few of the games and going through all of the letters and it does not disappoint. She was laughing out loud at some of the rhyming words for the letters and she feels like she has a BlackBerry like me, which is hilarious.
It also has the real QWERTY keyboard which is great since they will need to become familiar with it for real life.
I've given this company a lot of my hard earned cash over the last nine years but it has been worth it and all of the products can be passed down to other children.
This is one for the holiday gift list.

(More customer reviews)My daughter usually likes such phone toys, pushing the buttons, etc., but there is something seriously wrong with the volume on this thing. I think maybe I got a bad phone, because I even changed the batteries and the volume is still very very low. You have to actually turn the phone over and put the speaker right to your ear to hear it. So, my daughter never plays with it. I'm thinking of just throwing it away. I suggest testing this at the store first to make sure the volume is acceptable.

Pretend and Play Work Belt Tool Set Review

(More customer reviews)My nearly 3-year-old daughter received this as a gift - toy tools were requested because of her interest in Daddy's real ones. This set does not disappoint. From her "Oh my gosh!" upon opening the gift to playing with it every day it has been a winner. Daddy is especially impressed too.
The pieces are sturdy. They come apart and hold together where they are supposed to. The tape measure only allows measuring up to 24 inches, but it retracts well from being pulled all the way out. The drill drills "holes" in the piece of "wood", and it works Forward and Backward to screw and un-screw the nuts and bolts. The handles come off the two screw drivers to allow the phillips and flat head to attach to the working drill, allowing another way to work the screws into and out of the "wood". The hammer is solid but light, so it works well on the plastic nails but can't hurt any more than any other toy if used against someone. ;) The wrench and pliers have yet to see much use, but both seem like they will hold up to the use. The tool belt can't tighten enough to stay on my daughter's skinny waist, so it is sitting in the tool box waiting for another day. However, we fit all the pieces nicely onto it when trying it out the first day. The case itself is another sturdy piece. It holds all the pieces with extra room (we took the white plastic packaging out so all the pieces are tossed in there together).
This is a very inclusive set of tools for younger kids - boys or girls. I can see it being interesting up to at least age 5. Overall, a very good bet for a toddler/preschooler tool set.

He has several dressing activities, similar to Dressy Bessy and Dapper Dan. He has a zipper, buttons, straps, etc. to help the little ones learn to dress. It has a lot of detail, check out the shoes! She loves the colors and the texture of the mat. Look beyond the original inention of this toy and see its many possibilities. (More customer reviews)I purchased the basic skills board to help my 3-year-old learn to tie, snap, zip, clip, button and buckle. It's a bust. He doesn't use it because the functions aren't secured to the base. It's difficult to teach these skills when they're not stationary. And it's large, heavy and cumbersome for him. Being a puzzle just adds to the confusion of its function. I'm going to glue the pieces into place and mount the board to a wall. I think this will turn it into an investment rather than a waste of $[...].

Leapfrog Clickstart Educational Software: Thomas and Friends - Learning Destinations Review

(More customer reviews)We bought the ClickStart computer along with this Thomas game as a Christmas gift for my 2 1/2 year old son. He had started showing an interest in our computer and had already learned how to find letters on the keyboard and use the mouse, so we thought he would enjoy having his "own" little computer and that it would also help keep him from going on ours all the time. Thomas the Tank Engine (and all of Thomas' friends) are his favorite toys, so he absolutely loves this software, and it keeps him focused and engaged for a long time. It only comes with 3 games, all of which are fairly simple; this was somewhat disappointing, since for $20 I would have thought there would be more games included. Each game does have 2 skill levels, so I suppose you could say there are 6 games included, even though it is really only 3. The graphics are OK but not spectacular, though of course our son does not care or know the difference so that really doesn't matter. He has fun with the games and they are appropriately matched to his skill level; after a short amount of time playing the games with him (prompting him what to do) he is now able to start up the computer, select a game and play it totally on his own (without our help). He also enjoys the "in between game" activities such as clicking on as many tickets as possible within a certain time frame, to earn extra points, and I think these are particularly good for helping him master control of the mouse. It does have some educational value with games centered around letters, spelling words, finding shapes and numbers, counting, etc. but I think the most valuable skills he is learning are using the mouse and keyboard. The audio voice is sometimes a little difficult to hear above the music, so I think that sometimes he clicks around and gets the right answer by trial and error rather than by listening to the audio instructions and following them. Overall, we are happy with the purchase, though it does not have quite as much educational value as I had originally hoped.

We put all of the pieces out at once and asked students to put them together as fast as they could, which required them to think about the steps in order to properly sequence the activity. It follows the movie story line well and uses the voices from the movie. My 3 year old loves to try and find Nemo.
The book features remind me of the Leap Pad books. It reads a story aloud and allows the child to point to a word to see what it says. Even within the book feature, your child can touch the screen to "explore."
There are also 4 games that can be played. My older one likes the games the best.
Well worth the $20.00.
