The Grouchy Ladybug Game, a board game for ages 3 & up (has some small parts that could be a choking hazard) has illustrations based on the book by Eric Carle and a fun blue whale in the middle of the board that players can use to "slap" other players' ladybugs back to Start.
The game teaches basic counting, size comparisons, and manners and has nice, brightly-colored, sturdy game pieces.
If you're looking for a fun, educational, not overly plastic game for your young children, I think this game is a good place to start!

Illustrated by the well-loved Eric Carle, The Grouchy Ladybug Game helps young kids learn all about counting and colors. Game also teaches the concept of relative size. Kids will even learn about manners by teaching this ladybug some manners first! For 2-4 children.
