(More customer reviews)Yes, kids LOVE them. We did too, as children...when we got them out of gum ball machines for a penny! The little plastic ball containers are flimsy and hard to close for little hands. The toys themselves are very tiny and unless you have the world's tiniest pencil...well, they won't fit on the head of any pencil I have. My daughter liked them, played with them for a whole 15 minutes, but truthfully, lost half of them by the end of the day (they are small) and had a very hard time closing the containers, as I said. The pack I bought cost 10 dollars, with 12 of the Squinkies in them. By the time we got home (1/2 hour) she had lost 3 of them in the car...still haven't found them yet! Ok, so kids lose toys, especially small ones, and that's not the fault of the company...however, what made me angry was the realization that these were nothing more than gum ball machine toys with fancy name and new packaging and I spent 10 good American dollars on stinky toys from China. That bothered me.

Fisher-Price Dora the Explorer: Dress-Up Adventure Dora Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter got this doll for Christmas last year, and it's easily her favorite. She adores all things Dora, but this toy is definitely the most played with of all her toys.
I think the outfits are a little pricey, but if you shop around and wait for sales like the day after Thanksgiving, you can find them at a reasonable cost. We bought them all in one shot last year, and have been doling them out for special occasions.
I like the fact the basic doll comes with a puppy, as well as Backpack and a storybook. Each outfit has a separate theme (with coordinating book) and they're constantly adding new outfits to her line, so you can pick and choose which you prefer.
My only complaints is getting the shoes and hats to stay on, otherwise my daughter has no problems dressing the doll and getting Dora ready for her adventures.
Overall we're very pleased with this toy purchase and will probably have it for years to come.

The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs- Dark Purple Review

(More customer reviews)The big dilemma on these, initially for me, was which ones to choose. You'll probably want more than one - since half the fun is "playing them" together so they harmonize. (Note: they harmonize singing different songs - so it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea.) Anyway, below I've provided a breakdown on the various ones and why I liked this one out of those purchased.
As a pure review of the toy in general: Originally I was attracted to these for my just turned six year old niece because they reminded me of some sort of mad mash between a singing stuffed Barney dinosaur teddy bear and Mr. Bill of SNL fame. Either way, my niece, her friends, I, her parents and pretty much everyone else couldn't resist them. The three I purchased all came w/ worn down batteries that had to be replaced before they could sing the song. (I suspect an employee couldn't resist playing them at the store before they made them to us:)
Dark Purple is a fave, not only because the color has a natural appeal w/ pre-school princesses but it also can harmonizes both low and high (some are just high and some just low). The song is "My Darling Clementine" - which also oddly turned out to be a fave (given that her tastes run more towards Justin Beiber's "Baby")

New Red - Yankee DoodleBOTTOM LINE: 4 - 4.5 stars - whichever of these you choose to fit your taste they're bound to get giggles of all ages. As a more lasting gift, I think about 3-6 is the real age range for them.
