Discovery Exclusive Ready Set Learn Jump & Dance Music Mat Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 3 year old daughter and she loves it! Each character makes its own noise and lights up when you step on it. She loves bopping around on it, dancing to the theme song. There is also a "Follow Me" game on it that moves a little quickly for her now, but I know she'll love it in another year or so. This is a great way to get them on their feet and dancing!

Scientific Explorer's Mind Blowing Science Kit for Young Scientists Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)While I am not a chemist nor a volcano expert, I am a certified teacher. This kit provided hours and hours of quality time for my 4 year old, my six year old and myself. We measured ingredients, mixed solutions, made predictions, learned vocabulary, and discussed results. Can you think of many toys that can offer all of that? I thought the booklet that contained instructions was well-sequenced, with simple experiments followed by complex ones and with a helpful parent script. There were two drawbacks: the activities required direct parent involvement and sometimes a 2 hour wait time was required for "reactions" to happen

Ecotronics Mr. Robot Head Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a cute idea, and works as advertised. If you have every played the game "Operation" it is the same idea. You try to move a looped wand along the curled wire without touching. You touch, and lights flash and it plays a series of tones. It is a lot harder than it looks, so this really would only be appropriate for kids over 10. However, anyone over that age will probably get bored after 5- 10 minutes. The game is pretty big - a 6" plastic cube with the wire" hair extend 4" out of the top. No real educational value, unless you want to provide it. The enviornmental claims are pretty bogus - it comes in recycled packaging and doesnt need a battery. It is made in China from plastic and with electronic parts inside it.

Used it all up in about 4 days.Fragments left here and there. I would buy a book on science experiments and do them, but it was a gift, he loved getting it and playing with it. He is 12.
