(More customer reviews)I bought this kit for my toddler after reading reviews of other similar kits not made by Fisher-Price. I was mostly swayed by the brand and the "working stethoscope" promise. The kit is well-made and durable, with no sharp plastic edges or anything that looks like it could come off and become a choking hazard. The stethoscope does conduct sound, however you really need to press it to someone's chest to hear the heartbeat faintly. I will get a real stethoscope somewhere at a pharmacy to supplement this. Otherwise, all the other tools are fun to use and educational. For anyone considering a start up doctor kit, I recommend buying from a trusted brand so you know the items are of good quality with no unfinished seams/edges or the like.

I purchased this little smock along with a doctors kit for my 2 year old grand daughter.
She really loves wearing it when she plays doctor with her dolls. It sort of
completes the idea of pretending to be a doctor. I would recommend it to any
parent etc as a great purchase. Your child will just love it.

(More customer reviews)I own my own preschool and learning center and have purchased, and used many dramatic play objects over the past 8 years, and this one is constructed and thought out at a high level of durability and usabiiity for preschoolers and even older children.
All of the doctor tools are sturdy thick plastic and the smock is a real thick sewn cotton material that looks like it will stand the test of time. The thermometer takes batteries (not included) and there is a cute sticker where you can write the child's name on their "doctor i.d." . The back says County Hospital in big red letters.
My only complaint is the mask straps are so long that they fit on an adult's face, but they could probably be altered easily. I bought this for a 3 year old's birthday present and he loved it, and my 8 year old daughter enjoyed playing with it too.
I bought this on amazon with shipping for 29$ and when I searched other web sites it was priced around 40$ before shipping, so this is a great buy!
