Learning Resources Pretend and Play Supermarket Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This was a Christmas gift to my 7 year old granddaughter to go along with a cash register. It is a nice complement to play store. It would be nice if it were to include a few more pieces of fruit, vegetables, potatoes and other items to sell.

iPlay My First Cash Register Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I got this toy for my daughters first birthday. She loves the sounds and lights. Her older brother, who is almost 4, loves to use it to pretend. I love that it doesn't have small parts that could get lost, and it seems very durable. The kids have dropped it, thrown it, and it has probably been stood on, yet it is still in great condition with no broken parts.

(More customer reviews)Just as cheap as all the others. We are returning it because our drawer doesn't open when you press the "open" button, but all of the features are pretty low quality.

Melissa & Doug Wallet Play Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughter wanted a cash register for Christmas this year so we used that as our theme and bought this too! We thought it was absolutely adorable...she loved it immediately upon opening it. She brings it everywhere with her and tries to pay for things.
The cars have spots where you can write your name. It has a spot where you can add a picture & info for the license (and we laminated it) the money is big enough that her little sister (14m old) won't choke and the actual dollars are VERY durable. They aren't just paper.
We actually let our daughter try and pay for things with her credit card...most restaurants have been nice enough to print off two receipts - one for us to sign and one for her...she loves this and feels like such a big girl!
I give it an A+!

Learning Resources Teaching Cash Register Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughter got this for her birthday (3 years old). Even though she is not old enough yet to really count the money she has had a blast "ringing things up" on the scanner and paying with the credit card. She also really likes the coin slot. When she puts the money in it tells her what the coin was. She has done this over and over again. She is also having fun going around the house collecting items in her shopping cart and then ringing them up.
I can see this being a toy she will play with for many years. It has math games that seem like they will be fun and educational. Very nice, oh, and my dad observed that the coin slot works with real coins too!
The negatives... The drawer shoots out quickly and the plastic coins tend to slosh out. Also the weighing tray comes off easily. I'm going to put that away till my daughter gets a little older.
Overall- a great toy!

Learning Resources Pretend and Play Calculator Cash Register Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We first bought this toy as a birthday gift, because our 4 year old was so fascinated with pushing the buttons to open the cash drawer. He liked the play coins that came with it, too.
Over the last 5 years, it has suited his needs as he's grown. First it was a play-alone toy, fun for long stretches of time. Later, it evolved into part of a grocery store game played with friends. Over the last two years, it has been an educational tool for us to use, as he learns to add and subtract and make change, something he is also doing at school.
It comes with a credit card - we haven't had to use it yet (not as much educational value for a credit card in this set up, since you can't really explain the perils of interest rates)!
When friends come over, it is still a popular toy to pull out and play with. You can replace the coins (which seem to disappear) with less realistic, but inexpensive, coins you can find at any dollar store - or use real money!
An excellent toy that will grow with the child!
