(More customer reviews)My daughter wanted a cash register for Christmas this year so we used that as our theme and bought this too! We thought it was absolutely adorable...she loved it immediately upon opening it. She brings it everywhere with her and tries to pay for things.
The cars have spots where you can write your name. It has a spot where you can add a picture & info for the license (and we laminated it) the money is big enough that her little sister (14m old) won't choke and the actual dollars are VERY durable. They aren't just paper.
We actually let our daughter try and pay for things with her credit card...most restaurants have been nice enough to print off two receipts - one for us to sign and one for her...she loves this and feels like such a big girl!
I give it an A+!

This toy is cute. When you push Elmo's mouth, he says "Jiggly, Giggly! Ha ha ha ha!" as the ball vibrates. Push Cookie Monster's mouth, and he says "Shaky, Shaky! Ha ha ha ha! Whooooa!" If you pay too much attention to Elmo (press him 3 times in a row) Cookie says "Hello?" Likewise, if you press Cookie 3 times in a row, Elmo says, "Elmo's turn!" Push the two together and they say "Giggle Monsters!" and laugh.
This toy is not very soft (it's not plush) and the inner mechanics make it heavier than you would expect. The eyes and Elmo's nose make it pretty useless for rolling. But the sounds and vibrations make my twin 20-month old boys smile, and they play with it on occasion, but it doesn't keep them occupied for long stretches. As for durability, it appears well-made, but I don't think ours has been used enough to really put it to the test.
Overall, it's cute, but I think I like it more than the boys do.

(More customer reviews)Parents beware, this toy is fine except that there is no OFF switch, at least none that I can find. We had it in the back of the car on a 400-mile drive and it played every time we hit a little bump. The cats set it off just by getting near it. (In fact, it was playing inside the Amazon box when the UPS guy dropped it off). Our older son has a similar Wiggles guitar and it has an off switch, and I wouldn't buy this again had I known of this absurd omission.

(More customer reviews)OMG! We LOVE these little guys. I first accidentally picked up the safari animal set on vacation to a little zoo. The animals are so colorful and a perfect size for toddlers. As an educator I love the fact that the names are all embroidered into the sides of each animal. Some of the sounds are a little hoaky, but for this age group it works. It certainly provided hours of interaction between me and my child. Each set comes with its little carrying case, which also is a great size for the kids. These sets have traveled with us many places.
I have to mention the customer service of the company. What a friendly and helpful organization. My daughter wore out her favorite animal (the elephant) because she carried it EVERY WHERE! I called to see if I could buy a replacement and the company sent me one for FREE!!! WOW!
Needless to say we bought every set they have. A year and a half later they are still providing many hours of play and pretend time. My 7.5 yo will sit down and play with them as well as my husband.
Do yourself a favor and pick these up!
