Vtech - Nitro Junior Notebook Review

Vtech - Nitro Junior Notebook

I bought this as a gift for my three year old. He is very advanced so I was not worried about if he would be smart enough to use it. It has a lot of good educational games. My son always wants to be on my laptop and that is another reason I got this. The part of the screen that has the games on it is very small and is hard to see. I would have liked to have something like this that the entire screen is used. It would be easier to see and it would look more like a computer.

Little Tikes Learning Letters Laptop Review

Purchased this for my 18 month old and she loves it! She just loves to press the buttons, but can definitely see the potential for her to learn her letters as she gets older. I do not like the number feature. It is too delayed. Overall a great beginning laptop.

LeapFrog Clickstart My First Computer Review

LeapFrog Clickstart My First Computer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old, because she kept wanting to play with our laptop computers. We figured this was a better option for her, so she would not break our laptops.
She loved it from the minute we hooked it up, and has played it everyday for the past three weeks. She has not gotten tired of it at all since the more you play the more challenging the games get. We are still using the original set of batteries and the keyboard does actually turn itself off after 5 minutes of non-use. (Note...buy the AC adapter, so you can skip having to use batteries in the console unit)LeapFrog ClickStart™ My First Computer Adapter
We give it 5 stars for fun due to the fact that she wakes up each morning still looking forward to playing with Scout, and the Typing Tree. Not many toys can entertain and teach the ever important skills of keyboarding and mouse control to a 2 1/2 year old.
We give it 5 stars for educational value because she at 2 1/2 now has enough eye hand control to use not ony her little mouse accurately, but she can use a real computer mouse with percision. Counting, letter recognition, color recognition, following directions, phonics as well as nurturing are all addressed in the 4 games that are preloaded. The ability to add more games also merits 5 stars.
Durabiity gets 5 stars because she is two, has played with it everyday for three weeks and it still works! :-) She is not super tough on her toys, but has on several occasions carried the entire keyboard by the mouse cord. I was concerned that that mouse would stop working if the cord became loose, however, it is attached to the keyboard very securely behind a screwed in plate that kids cannot access, and you can actually replace it yourself with the replacement mouse offered by Leap Frog.
Again, this is a GREAT product!

Vtech Cars Lightning McQueen Learning Laptop Review

I own the princess carriage and the princess magic wand laptops by Vtech. My friend's 3 yr old son loved playing with them so she bought him this for his birthday. She is very dissappointed, and so is he. He trys to trade my girls for theirs. It is sturdy, but the wheel/mouse does not stay in place very well, it does not have a handle for carrying and while playing the games, the child has to type the answer and then hit enter each time. So, when compared to the princess version this one is not as fun. With the princess version all you have to to do is touch the screen with the wand or type the answer and it automatically responds. I am sure that an older child may enjoy the activities and be able to navigate through the games better. I would like to see one more like the princess one with a gender neutral theme.

Barbie B-Bright Learning Laptop Review

While I appreciate that this newer model has volume control, what about a English/Spanish switch? It seems tedious, not to mention a bit hard for a new user, to press a button at a certain moment to select a language EVERY TIME she starts the computer. Also, the game switch is hard to move.

Vtech Tote and Go Pink Laptop Review

We bought this for our daughter about a year ago, and everyone in the house plays with it, her older and younger brothers both, and that means ages 2-5. It's held up beautifully, nothing wrong with it and it's been dragged all over the house (and car), fought over, and wrestled with and it's still going just fine.
As a plus, the mouse pad can either sit on a peg connected to the right side for easy travel stability, but for our left handed daughter, you just move it off the peg and move it on over. This is a huge plus for this system.
