(More customer reviews)My son's speech therapist brought this and he loved it!! He's almost 2 and he could lace the beads and it kept his attention for a long time, which is a feat in itself. I really like how one piece stays on the end and the blunt wooden "needle" that you use to thread is the reason such young children can be successful with threading. Great for fine motor skills, pretend play, increasing attention span, and language development, too.

(More customer reviews)My kids both LOVE this product, and it is a wonderful way for them to while away some time at home or in the car. The lacing is easy, not true sewing at all. My little one just pops the string around the board making abstract art. My older one can make the pre-set designs and loves to create new ones! It is very engaging, and gives children immediate results. If they get frustrated easily, this might be a good toy for them, as it is so easy to 'do' it and get results. There is counting involved (if you use the pre-set sheets) and lots of imagination. I got extras because they lost the little poker pens, but mostly that's my 3yo, the older one is find keeping it all together in the box. Also, you could use an empty ball-point casing, just as easily. I bought this for a 5yo, my son is 3 and my daughter is 9 - so it fits a very wide range of ages nicely. :D Thanks Quercetti for a fabulous gift my kids and I all love!

I would just caution that the two smallest beads, while the size of very small plums, are still just small enough that they could get lodged in your toddler's mouth if they were inclined to try to get the whole thing in. I wouldn't trust my kids with this toy unsupervised for at least a few months yet (or will only let them play with the half of the beads that are substantially larger.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my daughter for her 4th B-day. This looked like the best option available. The first board I received had multiple broken ball-legs which are needed to stand correctly. I sent that one back, ordered another one and this one had 2 broken legs, as well. I super-glued the legs back on and hope they stay. My daughter loves the geo board, i would just caution buyers on the quality.

(More customer reviews)My 2-year old son was interested in the toy from the moment he saw it. He enjoys stringing the beads and then dragging then around on the string. He can be entertained with it for quite a long time. The colors and shapes are fun and attractive.
The quality of the product leaves something to be desired. After playing with the beads on a hardwood floor for one evening, the paint has begun to rub off the edges of the pieces. The holes in the pieces are not sanded finely enough, so sometimes the string gets snagged when one tries to pull it through. Also, and I don't know if that is intentional, or if any other similar product does it differently, but the piece of the rope that is covered in plastic is too short: you have to hold the string about 1 inch away from the plastic covered part to fit it into the bead to be able to grab the string on the other end. An adult can do it of course, but it's hard to do for a 2-yo.
