GeoSafari MagniScope Review

I purchased the toy for my step-son's 7 year birthday. After a few of the kids became so frustrated with the scope they gave up, I and 6 other adults attempted to make some use out of it. The specimen holder constantly fell off, the aquarium dripped and lost all it's water, and no-one could it to focus.

I got this microscope and right away was able to look at different things. I even looked at things like bee wings, cricket legs, my mom's hair, my dog's fur, and a flower petal. The pre-made slides that came with it were pretty cool too - I liked the onion cells best. I would highly recommend this microscope for you to buy. One of the things I don't like so much about it is the cover slips for the slides you can make for yourself - I don't understand why they are round, and many of them are kind of scratched.

Educational Insights Geosafari Talking Microscope Review

My kids LOVE this microscope - they are 6 & 4 yrs old respectively. They have spent a lot of time peering through the microscopes viewfinder to look at the included creepy crawlies. Unfortunately - because the storage for the slides isn't intrinsic to the microscope - they've gotten lost. I was also disappointed that there wasn't an expansion pack of slides for the kids to learn more. Great toy - but limited.
