I love the concept of Play Doh, and will absolutely agree that my children love playing with it, but I hate cleaning up after it and I hate when my children mix colors together. Another thing that really annoys me are the toys that you can get to go with the Play Doh. Most of the toys that we've had either break apart quickly, are basically worthless to play with, or are both!
This one, however, was a bit different. We purchased it for Christmas and it got played with the day after. And the day after that. And the day after that. And if you have children, that should tell you something. Of course my children love the toy because it's simply fun to play with. Who doesn't love to make burgers and fries? And let me get sidetracked for a moment - the chip maker? Simply genius. Not only does it actually work, slicing chips beautifully, but it is also fairly easy to clean, which is a miracle in the world of Play Doh toys!
The only reason I gave this four stars is because some of the colors of the Play Doh I'm guessing would be difficult to find - like the dark brown for the burger and the light brown for the buns. But they can always make purple burgers and orange buns and label it alien food, so I'm not too worried about not being able to find the colors. All in all? A great Play Doh toy that even people who don't like Play Doh toys will enjoy.

Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory Review

Pros:
- Lets kids learn about the process of making things in a "factory" line
- Fun, bright colors: comes with 6 small cans of play-dough
- Moving conveyor belt adds some interest
Cons:
- Very hard to clean out all of the excess play-dough that is left in the toy after use
- The "stamper wheel" shape selector is designed in such a way that the child can't see what shape he's trying to select on the wheel. The picture gets covered up by the plastic wheel holder, so they not only can't see what shape is selected, but it's hard to tell if it's even lined up properly to stamp correctly on the assembly line.
- This toy came with the most ridiculous "security" packaging I have EVER seen on any toy. It took about 20 minutes to unpack and get it ready for play (cut ties, install batteries, etc).
- Once the initial new excitement and learning process wears off, this toy seems to move in slow motion. The conveyor belt should have adjustable speeds for when the child gets proficient at the process.
Overall:
I wouldn't buy this toy again. My child was bored with it after 1 week. I think the concept is cool, but the execution is disappointing.

Play-doh Case of Colors Review

(More customer reviews)Though the fun, durability and educational value of this product are all very good or better, I did want to emphasize one thing for potential purchasers of this product. When I received this item from Amazon (intended as a gift for a friend's four-year-old daughter), I was pretty disappointed that there were NO cans of blue but TWO cans of hot pink Play Doh in the set.
The Amazon description DOES include a disclaimer for the potential variation of colors in the set, so I'm absolutely not faulting them for not alerting consumers to this deficiency. It's just that, well, I didn't think that it would happen to me (who ever does?), so please DO be aware that they issue this disclaimer for good reason. It's not the end of the world, and I'm sure that the recipient won't think twice about the absence of blue Play Doh in her new, "ten-color" set (such as it is!), but it keeps me from being 100% satisfied with the product.
While I'm at it, I should also add that these are NOT full-size cans of Play Doh - they appear to be approximately half the size of the cans in regular sets. I did not see that information anywhere in the Amazon description (it might be there, but if it is, it wasn't in a conspicuous place), and it's a point worth mentioning somewhere. If you think that you're getting a good deal by getting 10 full-size cans for eight bucks, you are getting nothing of the sort. Better Play Doh values can be found elsewhere on the site, so you might want to keep looking for them if, like me, you're generally the type who likes to get her money's worth.
