(More customer reviews)We bought these paints when our child was 2 years old, and we still have the originals. They last a long time. The colors are bright, use is easy for little ones, and they are so much neater than fingerpaints. Our child does different kinds of art with these paints than she does with any other kind of paint or markers. She can "dot" the paint or use them somewhat like markers. She has even used paintbrushes to soak the paint from the tops and paint. I have never had trouble washing the regular Rainbow colors off kids or clothing; however, I have had trouble washing the fushcia florescent color of this paint out of a white cotton dress that my child played in for 2 hours after painting. Faint fuschia stains remain. I recommend washing off paint immediately after use, and putting clothing in water to soak or wash immediately after. The instructions say that the flourescent colors may stain.

(More customer reviews)I have used these cards in a math class for developmentally disabled teenagers and they loved it. The cards show a child doing a simple task in order. We put all of the pieces out at once and asked students to put them together as fast as they could, which required them to think about the steps in order to properly sequence the activity. For the price, it is a great tool for learning.

Learning Resources Calendar and Weather Pocket Chart Review

(More customer reviews)This calendar/weather chart seems durable and made of good quality. It is very large. I like it for the most part, but I have a few issues with it. 1) If you have a month that is 31 days long and begins on a Friday or Saturday (like January 2010), there are not enough spaces to put the 31st day of the month. I had to put it up at the top of the calendar. This may not occur very often, but it is slightly annoying. 2) The pockets which are used to house all the extra cards are not big/deep enough. They do not close with all the cards in them. There are many many many cards with this calendar - every sort of month/day/year/weather/season/holiday/event - which is great, but the calendar is not really made to hold them well, when not in use. Also, I wish there were more (bigger) pockets, so I could divide the cards into groups. Right now, I have all the month/year/day cards together, all of the event/holiday cards together, and all of the blank/season/weather cards together.

My son (5) & daughter (who was 18 monthls old at the time) both loved it. We listened to it on a long trip, and they kept saying (about every song) "This one is my favorite." They listened to it so much it wore out, so I am buying a new one.

(More customer reviews)This one was recommended to me and I'm very happy I purchased it! You can see us using it at [...] I use it with my 2.5 year old son to do number/size/letter sequencing. We'll be doing patterns and so forth. It's at a great angle and seems very durable. The letters and pictures that come with the chart are a terrific bonus. I've been doing beginning letter sounds with my son and so much more with these tiles. Very well worth the investment. The only thing I would improve is the base of the chart so that it lays perfectly flat on the table - seems it would improve the stability a bit more. However, the chart has been stable for our work, so it doesn't seem to interfere.

Although I wouldn't expect much magnification for this price, it would have been easy for them to do since the telescope does actually have lenses. My kids have little binoculars that provide 5x or 10X magnification for under $10, so it's a shame this doesn't do the same. If you just want it for pretend play, then it would be fine, but then why did they put lenses on it in the first place?

(More customer reviews)Large and functional calendar. This is well-designed and well-made. After agonizing over what type of calendar to purchase, I thought a pocket calendar would fit my needs. Then I had to decide between all the pocket charts available. I am absolutely thrilled with my decision to choose this one.
The cards are very nicely done; the print is large and clear, and the pictures are colorful and bright. There are extra pockets to hold all the extra cards. In the picture it show that the numbers for days are in red and yellow... they use red for the weekends and yellow for the weekdays. I like to use yellow for the upcoming days, and turn it over to red for days that have passed. This is great learning tool for children. Great for teachers and homeschoolers.
I also made some extra cards to place behind the numbers for special day or activities. Although they have plenty of cards for holidays, birthdays and the like, I wanted to customize it a bit more.
