(More customer reviews)We bought these paints when our child was 2 years old, and we still have the originals. They last a long time. The colors are bright, use is easy for little ones, and they are so much neater than fingerpaints. Our child does different kinds of art with these paints than she does with any other kind of paint or markers. She can "dot" the paint or use them somewhat like markers. She has even used paintbrushes to soak the paint from the tops and paint. I have never had trouble washing the regular Rainbow colors off kids or clothing; however, I have had trouble washing the fushcia florescent color of this paint out of a white cotton dress that my child played in for 2 hours after painting. Faint fuschia stains remain. I recommend washing off paint immediately after use, and putting clothing in water to soak or wash immediately after. The instructions say that the flourescent colors may stain.

NO THANKYOU.. i was able to get this whole set for [...] in a local art store.. they work GREAT.. as a person (and a college student) with LD issues im always looking for ways to make kanji study more fun.. with these pens my japanese writing comes alive.. and the color changingness is great too.. i love this product.. i recomend it to anyone who wants to make writing the kanji more fun.. usually the brush pens sold for calligraphy come in just 1 color (black) but because of this set i can write in all different colors.. my writing comes out looking sooo elegant with this product.. and the fact that they dry so fast is a big plus.. and they dont seep through the page much if at all..

No-Spill Paint Cups & Brushes Assortment Review

(More customer reviews)This review is only for the paint cups, not the brushes. I have had these paint cups for several months. You get a lot of paint cups for your money, but the lids don't fit will on the cups. Each cup has top and bottom lid. The bottom lid is the spill proof part while the top lid provides a supposedly air tight seal. These cups are poorly manufactured; the fit of the lids was hit or miss or the 10 cups. Some bottom and top lids fit very snugly, but many were too loose (see my video review). All the lids were paint tight, but most were not water tight, and few were air tight.
For example, my 2 year old dropped a paint cup from about a 10 inch height and the entire lid popped off and paint went every where. So much for spill proof.
Also, after a few weeks the paint (we use Crayola washable tempera paint) became quite thick because the top lids are not air tight. Pros:
- you get a lot of paint cups for your money
Cons:
- top lids don't fit tightly which means the paint dries out
- poor quality control; some bottom lids are very tight others are rather loose
- not spill proof; bottom lids pop off too easily if cup is knocked overUPDATE: I purchased the Melissa and Doug paint cups. They are pricier, but solve all the problems I have with these cups. Ravensburger Junior Mandala-Designer - Classic Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the mini mandala set from the same company with the intention of capturing the artistic interest of my 6 year old. Her 14 year old sister had an easier time using it, which has to do with the design of the mini sets. They are not made for little hands at all... If you are thinking of introducing little ones, under 8 years old to mandalas, try this larger edition! I loved the idea of the girls creating mandalas which they could use to decorate cards, make mobiles etc.... My little one has been making her own mandalas and her fingers are more comfortable in the larger board. This is a great idea that they made a junior edition. I do wish, though that they sold packs of paper for this kit or sold it with more paper. I now have to cut paper to size so that it fits into the design slot. Overall, this is a great busy toy for travel or at home art time.
