(More customer reviews)We purchased this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas and it was the first thing she wanted to do Christmas morning. She loves art and this was right up her alley. It was easy to get started and have success right away. The splatter cover is somewhat flimsy, and I didn't realize it was going to be a manual operation process, but I think that will help to make it last longer. Great fun for the price.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the mini mandala set from the same company with the intention of capturing the artistic interest of my 6 year old. Her 14 year old sister had an easier time using it, which has to do with the design of the mini sets. They are not made for little hands at all... If you are thinking of introducing little ones, under 8 years old to mandalas, try this larger edition! I loved the idea of the girls creating mandalas which they could use to decorate cards, make mobiles etc.... My little one has been making her own mandalas and her fingers are more comfortable in the larger board. This is a great idea that they made a junior edition. I do wish, though that they sold packs of paper for this kit or sold it with more paper. I now have to cut paper to size so that it fits into the design slot. Overall, this is a great busy toy for travel or at home art time.
