(More customer reviews)My 2 1/2 yr old daughter loved this parachute the instant we got it out of the box! I love the bright colors and fun polka dot design, and it's nice that it's big enough for all of her friends to play along or you can use it to make a fort by draping it over chairs. What I don't like about it is the carrying case is too small (you really have to fold it tightly to get it back in), it's very lightweight (and so I feel it could rip easily if any kid got on top of it), the mesh hole in the middle is too big (your "mushroom" falls quickly), and it is NOT machine washable (I really wanted a parachute that was machine washable, but I should have known that if it's not listed in the item description, than it's not part of the deal). But I'm glad I bought it because I really like how this parachute looks and my daughter loves to play with it. Bottom line: if you want a kid-pleasing parachute that brings excitement the instant you pull it out, this is it!

He has several dressing activities, similar to Dressy Bessy and Dapper Dan. He has a zipper, buttons, straps, etc. to help the little ones learn to dress. It has a lot of detail, check out the shoes! He even has a little banana that can be stored in his pocket, which for some reason fascinates my young grandson! This is a well made, sturdy toy that my grandson loves to play with and love.

(More customer reviews)While this product has the potential to be a study and high quality product, the one I received was poorly constructed. There were three problems with mine. The board on top was warped a little, creating a not so good looking seam with the side boards. The second problem is the white board installation. It was installed with bubbles under it. I'm assuming it was glued and they didn't work the bubbles out. It's really annoying to draw on the bubbles. I plan to eventually replace this with a white board insert with one of my own. The third and most annoying problem was that the bolts were too short to put the unit together. I had to drill out the holes so that the bolts could sit below the surface of the wood and be long enough. It's possible the bolts were correct to begin with and that they just forgot to drill the holes properly. Either way, I was in the garage with a drill on Christmas day. I would have returned the unit had it not been Christmas morning and my son wanted to play with it. I also had the hassle of returning online purchases. If you can get one without these problems, I'd recommend you get one. They are study units. Just make sure to check it out and plan to return it if it's messed up.

Learning Resources Math Mat Challenge Game Review

(More customer reviews)I am the mother of a very hyper 5 year old boy soon to be entering kindergarden. It has been very difficult and expensive to try and find ways to teach him without boring or frustrating him. I have bought many electronical educational toys and I'd have to say this is about the best one so far to date. I have many leappad products and while they are great in theory, they are not for my hyper child that just wants to "play" and not sit down with some reading pad or talking phonic treehouse. The only time he will sit for a period of time to learn is with his computer games.
I think this is so good for my son because he is hyper and it allows for and even encourages movement. Yet, this toy also requires listening and focused attention. Due to the latter fact, I will admit that at first it seemed like another waste of money. He was getting frustrated because he wasn't getting the right answers and didn't want to play. My son does not know all his #'s and that was my main purpose for buying this item. I did figure out the best way for him was to deivide up the #'s between us. He got the 0-5 and I took 6-10. It's been less than a week and he has almost mastered his side. All in only 10-15 mins of play each day. The fact that he will still play it is a major thrill for me. It's fun factor also comes from it being sort of a timed game so that after each correct answer its ticking will speed up and once time is up it will tell you how many you got correct. We have the highest score possible on the #'s and he is almost as proud as I am.
There are 2 levels and 3 activities: Numbers, addition and subtraction. We are just on numbers but once he learns all of them (my side and his)I know this will be a great way to help him with adding and subtracting as well. There are also some really great suggestions as for other ways to play using the mat included.
So as long as it holds up I'd have to say it's a wonderful toy and not just in theory.

Chubby Colored Pencil Set (10) Review

The punch out animals were large enough to be colored or painted easily and the glue-ons were large enough to be manipulated by small hands. She especially liked that she could pick out which animals to color, decide what they would look like and make them all different. She took them to show and tell at shool. This would be a fun activity for a play date or sleep over. Love Alex.

If you want this just for the ABC aspect, these cards have very cute and appealing pictures and feature familiar objects, but these are pointless if you wanted them for the tactile benefits.

Alex Toys Little Hands, My Rub Art Review

(More customer reviews)This is the most disappointed I've been by a toy resulting in my first review. The kit comes with black and white sticker sheets, paper scenes to apply the stickers to, and plastic "films" with textured patterns for rubbing color onto the stickers. The finished product is very cute but it certainly wasn't made to be a "lasting" toy...and thus, seems like a waste of money. The textured plastic sheets have a knob at each corner that the sticker sheets fit into so that they stay put when rubbing. However, there are only 5 scenes to be made and the plastic sheets are very flimsy. Thinner than a gladware container more like plastic packaging material that toys come encased in. One of the crayons is a "rainbow" of colors - very cool in theory - but the consistency allows it to melt even with a light touch - it is so messy it just melts onto little hands, furniture, clothes, and is so thick when rubbed onto paper that you can't see the texture. I was hoping for something that would be more lasting and durable, providing more open ended play.

Alex Little Hands, My Sticker Art Review

It has been a great fine motor skill activity. It is very easy to set up.
It comes with 4 different scenes, and a sheet of stickers to go with each scene.
The scene and matching sticker sheet are in a packet together so it is so easy to just open up one set, set it up and do the activity together.
I agree with a previous review, the stickers did not stick well for my son, the edges really peel up.
At his age that makes him then want to peel them off. But he does really enjoy making the project so that is tolerable to me.
There are PLENTY of stickers for each scene as well. Very colorful and vibrant stickers often way more than are needed for each scene, kind of a bonus IMO.
The scene is a lightweight cardboard\tagboard material, making it more durable for the little hands to not bend or crease.
the plastis frames are fun as well and just a simple inlay to attack the finished works of art. Complete with an area to write your little Artist's name and date.
I wish there was more sets of these. I would buy them again, and would reccomend them for gifts for young kids.
