Little Tikes Builder's Bay Sand & Water Table Review

Little Tikes Builder's Bay Sand and Water Table

We purchased this toy this spring and it has been quite popular with my 2 and 4 year olds. However, after less than 4 months outside, it is showing some signs of wear. The elastics that hold the top panels on when it isn't being used are totally stretched out and don't hold the top on. The table fills up with water each time it rains (big mess!). The umbrella is pretty flimsy and has to be stored inside or it blows away with a little wind.
The kids really make a mess with this and never did keep water on one side and sand on the other. If you are the kind of parent who likes order, this toy will drive you crazy as the kids will constantly mix water with sand and sand with water. The crane isn't all that fun and just gets in the way. Overall, the kiddos like it, but it is a bit pricey for what you actually get.

Battat Take Apart Crane Review

Battat Take Apart Crane

Truly a creative toy that allows the child to "think" and follow a path of
logic. Well made, durable and colorful. Not only is it a toy of "mechanics" that
teaches hand-mind skills but, it also a great 3-D puzzle that can change
and be put together in various sequences. The Bi-plane version of this
toy is also fantastic. Our grandkids loved it.... hours on end, day after day.
Not a "play once" and toss away toy.

Fisher-Price Little People Eddie and His Boulder Worksite Review

Fisher-Price Little People Eddie and His Boulder Worksite

I bought this playset for my 2-yr-old because he loves construction, and he is thrilled with it. He started narrating and acting out "stories" with it as soon as we got it out of the box. It has a nice range of activities without being very big. I was very happy to discover an "on/off" for the sounds, as my son prefers to make his own most of the time. We will remove the batteries later, but were able to give him the toy straight from the box which was nice.
The "people" are not like the ones sold in other Little People sets; they are jointed so they can sit or stand and have real feet, and each has a hand that can hold the shovel that came with the set. I actually rather like them. My son prefers the dump truck.
The only negative I see in the toy is that the "dynamite" blaster has to be pushed down very sharply to actually tip the boulder off and my son has trouble with this right now (I expect him to figure it out shortly though).
Overall I am very pleased with this toy right now.

This worksite is just exploding with fun things to do! Move the crane to hear cool sounds as it moves boulders around. Sit Eddie in the dump truck while Max fuels it up at the gas station area. And if your little one really wants to have a blast, press down on the TNT blaster and watch the boulders come tumbling down the mountain!
Playset includes big boulder worksite with articulated crane and four drop-through areas, dump truck, shovel, two boulders, and Eddie and Max figures. Built-in handle for take-along fun. Requires 2 "AA" batteries, included. Measures 11"H x 12"w x 16"L.
