(More customer reviews)Our 3-yr old received this game as a gift and thoroughly enjoys it. It is a terrific way for kids to understand how to play board-type games; taking turns, setbacks, etc. The basic game simply has each player remove the number of cherries spun on the spinner. However, there are some "bad" spins that force you to put cherries back on the tree. At first, kids are disappointed to move backwards - but over time, they get the idea that sometimes this happens in games. We use it as a way to start teaching basic math. "If you have 8 cherries and get to take away 2, how many will be left on the tree?" The little cherry buckets are definitely made for kids hands and fingers - they are tough to maneuver for an adult. Small price to pay for a simple to understand, terrific little game.

Cootie Review

(More customer reviews)I recently ordered Milton Bradley's "Ants In The Pants" and "Cootie Bug" games for my 3 year old son. These games were a total blast from the past and I just had to get them when I saw them on your site. Ants In The Pants is great but Cootie Bug is NOT good for this age group. I was so disappointed because the game has too many little pieces, is a little more complicated than I remembered, and the game board was in pieces in minutes (flimsy cardboard). Suprisingly enough, my 3 year old son is really careful with his toys and is not "destructive" by any means. And although this toy was not expensive, it was a waste of money for his age group.
Just wanted to provide some feedback and possibly save some other parents some money. Wait until your kids are 4 or 5 for this one.

(More customer reviews)I've had the original Mastermind for about 30 years, and it's a great way to hone logic skills. My 5-year-old recently got Mastermind for Kids as a gift, and I was disappointed. I guess it's "cute" to make the game look like a bowl of Lucky Charms or something, but in the kids' version there are NO PEGS - the pieces get scattered everywhere, ruining the game, with one false move. Tedious and very frustrating, especially for little ones. The kids' version is a bit simpler as it allows for only three combinations, not four like the original; BUT you can just as easily decide to do the same with the original version anyway. GET THE ORIGINAL, IT's GREAT!
