(More customer reviews)I have had both as a child, and even at 20 enjoy. I very much enjoyed Geo safari world, it gives you multiple choice questions and is fun and challenging. The only advantage that LeapFrog? Explorer Smart Globe ($90 used as of 7/2010) has is their touch sensitive globe. If the LeapFrog? Explorer Smart Globe is way over your budget just get the GeoSafari world, its just as great and way more affordable.

Name That Country Game Review

(More customer reviews)This game teaches the players to recognize and learn the names of about 50 countries by looking at them on a map. Good for grade K - adult. Young grade schoolers need a good "reader" to play with them to read some "bonus cards". I think after playing the game 10 or 20 times that most children will learn the country names. You can enhance the game however to make it better! Use a marker to number the countries that this game ignores and instead of using their []spinner create little cardboard numbers that the kids pick one at a time (instead of spinning). Instead of only having 50 countries in play, you can have hundreds... I immediately made my own "cardboard numbers". Be a little creative and this little game can teach a lot. It's fun to play and kids like it..especially after they've played it a few times and are learning the country names. A great introduction to world geography.

Scientific Toys Interactive Around the World Map Review

(More customer reviews)We have this inetractive toy in the space and United States version. This one seems to have the widest age appeal. My four year old just mimics the facts she hears the toy say, my eight year old has learned somebsic interesting fatcts about the world and even us adults have been surprised at what we did and didn't know.
The toy has a map of the world and you can play in several modes. You can choose to hear facts about the different contintents and countries or be quized.
This is a great fun way to learn geography and facts about other countries.
I recommend this around the world over the space model.
