Fisher-Price TRIO Airport Tower Review

I ordered two of these sets for my 4 and 6 year old boys. They love them. They have created so much more than what the instructions show them. Both boys are wanting additional sets so they can build even more elaborate creations. Highly recommended.

Quercetti Super Marble Run Vortis, 224 Pieces Review

Quercetti Super Marble Run Vortis, 224 Pieces

I was initially concerned about the durability of this product since similar marble runs have been rated as low-quality or wobbly. HOWEVER, my concerns were quickly put to rest when my niece and I began constructing towers on Christmas Eve!
The pieces fit together easily and the bases are fairly sturdy on an even surface (we didn't have much trouble on the somewhat uneven carpet either, however). There are a ton of pieces (moreso than a lot of other marble runs) and there is an interesting variety of spirals, swirls, vortex pieces, spinners and slides.
My niece is 4, and really enjoys putting the marbles in to see where they go (bonus points if they shoot off to nowhere, in her opinion).
This set is designed for older kids if they're going to play on their own. HOWEVER, with adult guidance my 4 year old loves it and does very well with it...and mom and dad approve!
Bonus: This is just as much fun for adults to play with as it is for kids. It's great to have a toy that I don't mind playing with (EVERY time I'll be coming over). I'm seriously considering buying one for myself just to have around. It's great fun!

KID K'NEX Construction Crew Building Set Review

KID K'NEX Construction Crew Building Set

This fun kit will help your younger child to discover the world of construction vehicles. Who haven't drived past a construction crew repairing a road or a bridge? We do. And the boys are excited about seeing the big trucks. This kit will permit your boy (or girl for that matter) to discover how the BIG trucks work and how they can be used while working on the road. You can build five different machines with this kit. Each vehicle will have a big set of eye which makes it funny to play with.My boys are a bit old for this box but I think it would be a wonderful gift for a little one.My daughter loves to build with Kid K'Nex but somehow she is not as attracted to trucks and vehicles as boys would be. This box is geared for children ages 3 and up.

Little Tikes Keyheads City Fire Station Review

Little Tikes Keyheads City Fire Station

Sweet baby Jesus, this toy SUCKS. Get ready for an hour of tedious assembly, followed by about 45 seconds of confused play, and then the ramp will just fall off. I should have been put off by the whole idiotic concept of "Keyhead City"--because what child doesn't want to play with severed fireman heads? They aren't even really keys that you can turn...they just sort of rest loosely in their slots...until you press them, which activates the ear-splitting siren...which you can use to clear traffic on the way to the Emergency Room, after you put your eye out with the sharp, pointy "water bomb" projectiles. And it's so poorly designed! Where are you supposed to sit exactly when you're using the elevator or the catapult? It makes you feel like a left-handed person using right handed scissors. Thank you, Little Tykes, for ruining Christmas.
