eeBoo Tot Towers Nesting Blocks - Alphabet Review

My 14-month-old loves these nesting blocks. Taking them apart, stacking them into a tower and -- the best -- knocking the tower down. He stands on the largest block to get a better view of the world and it's still in great shape. He did decide to chew on the smallest block and, since it's cardboard and paper, it quickly became a wet mess and had to be tossed. But the rest of the blocks are still going strong. He has yet to get anything out of the letters/numbers printed on them -- just not there yet. But the motor skill development needed to stack them and put things in and out is great. Totally worth it!

maybe i was the only one surprised when it came in a small box, didn't know they fit inside each other so the bottoms are hallow, but still look pretty durable, i would have liked these alot more if they had a side to them that was only a letter, but i bought a 2nd set of blocks for that reason. good buy hopefully they last along while

Eric Carle Polar Bear Touch and Stack Blocks Review

My 14 month old son has had these for awhile now and still plays with them almost every day. They are so versatile and colorful and he loves the different textures, especially the fuzzy polar bear block. I agree with the other reviewer though, if your baby is a chewer, these aren't the best. I took away the smallest block (which he loved because it has a rattle inside) because he was basically eating it and the cardboard was dissolving. The bigger blocks have been a big hit though. These would make a great gift too, because they are so pretty.

Ten sturdy chipboard blocks feature whimsical, charming animal illustrations by Eric Carle, and can be used for nesting, stacking and teaching counting skills. Each block is dedicated to a different animal printed with a number form 1-10, the animal's name, the animal's sound, a tactile panel, a movable part, or a rattle. Excellent for parent-child interaction and helps develop motor skills.

Crayola Stacking and Nesting Blocks Review

Crayola Stacking and Nesting Blocks

This is an excellent toy for a wide range of young children. (I would say 18 months thru 6 years). For toddlers, it is fun to make a tower bigger than you and then fun at any age to come up with creative ways to knock it down. There is educational information on the blocks on colors, numbers, and letters, but I would get it even if they were not as packed full of information.
I'd highly recommend this one!!!

Melissa & Doug Wooden Animal Nesting Blocks Review

Our daughter received these blocks when she was 16 mo. old and absolutely loves them! She stacks them, nests them, and builds sloping steps for her cars to run down. I was worried they would be too advanced for her (since the recommended age is 2 yrs) but I think that the 2 yr recommendation is to be able to sort the blocks by animal type, color etc. We gave this set as a gift to a 1 yr old and she loved it too. The blocks are made of lightweight wood, so they can be lifted easily, but are strong enough for climbing, sitting, and and being thrown as the tower gets knocked down. Melissa & Doug make such great products and this is no exception. Tons of fun and best of all, no batteries or electronic sounds required!

Melissa & Doug Deluxe 10-Piece Alphabet Nesting and Stacking Blocks Review

My daughter has enjoyed this cardboard block set. She enjoys the blocks because they stack tall, unlike her smaller plastic building blocks, which do not stand well on the carpeting. She often builds up the blocks, knocks them over, and starts over again.
She does not care about the pictures on the blocks, but she recognizes the letters, which are all written uppercase. Some of the blocks are difficult for a toddler to associate the picture with the letter (e.g. a rabbit with a rose for the letter "R," but most toddlers would see a bunny with a flower).
I have used the blocks for other games, such as "Memory" by hiding smaller objects (such a sock or paper) under the blocks and asking her to remember which object is under which block.
I would recommend this product for children aged two-years and older. The cardboard blocks could easily be damaged by a younger child, rendering the blocks unstackable.
