(More customer reviews)We bought this as a family gift this Christmas and have played it a couple times so far. The rules are a little vague in places and I'm not sure how much the older kids (14 and 9) got out of it but our 6 year old had a blast. It also has very little in common with the old yahtzee from our childhood.
I think it will be good for the kids to learn patience and basic sportsmanship skills.
One thing we really liked about it is that it is a quick game to play, 15 or 20 minutes for the entire game.
The character faces are cartoony too not scary at all.
One last thing, it is a 4 player game and I don't think it said that on the box. With a little creative thinking we made it a 5 player. That was a little frustrating but we made it work and the kids didn't mind.

Chutes and Ladders Super Hero Squad Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this game for my 5 year old son for Christmas, and we (including my 3 year old son), play it almost every night. He had played the original chutes and ladders with a friend, but didn't care too much about it, but throw in some superheros, and they make EVERYTHING so much more fun! I love that you can change out the superheros to be whoever you want, which I keep at least 2 in each slot, that way they can be guys at once. I would recommend this game is any boy that loves superheros, 3 years and up.

Super Hero Cape Review

(More customer reviews)My son loves his cape! He's 3 & 1/2. I got him the red one & one in blue. He seems to prefer the blue one & has me wear the red one & we pretend to fly around together. I liked this one because it had a velcro closing on the neck. For safety reasons I wanted velcro because it'll open up & come off if the cape catches on something or some kid tries to pull it off him. I didn't want to get a cape that tied. I thought that would be a choking hazard. There are so many things a parent has to think of in the area of safety. As it is, I had to tell him that the cape would not really allow him to fly that it was only pretend flying. I think at first he was a little disappointed at the thought that he couldn't "really" fly but he still loves it & pretend flies all over the house & even wears it to daycare.

(More customer reviews)Both of my sons love Batman. We have the Imaginext(?) Batout and my kids love it as well as the other toys. We recently discovered Trios and are big fans. The pieces are much larger than Legos--which means that kids are less likely to lose them, plus they can build bigger things more easily. Both my 5 and 7 year old have had great fun building all sorts of different flying contraptions from the Trio BatWing set. We've bought Lego sets designed for 5+ before, but honestly, many of them are too complicated for my kids to put together by themselves. With Trio, both my 5 and 7 year old can follow the directions in the manual and easily create whatever it is they want to create. Then they have the option of creating all sorts of other creations as well. This is a great gift for a Batman fan!
