They easily construct to build large structures that are substantial enough for little hands to manipulate and play with. Our 6 year old can follow the directions himself, but also loves coming up with his own ideas on versions of the play sets. Our 3 year old needs a little help, but once it's put together, he plays and plays with it. The 3 year old has other basic Trio sets and has a lot of fun being creative with them. Best investment ever. I highly recommend the Wizard's knights in addition to the play sets so that more children can play together.

DC Comics Boys Trio Action Set Dress Up Trunk Review

(More customer reviews)My 3 yr old son LOVES this set. He and his sister dress up like Batman and Robin everyday. He doesn't use the shin guards though and they are just taking up space in his trunk. The fabric is a little cheap and I am afraid to wash it for fear that the design will disappear, but he is getting great use out of it and it is a lot of fun. The capes are a little long and I worried at first that they would get caught or pulled, but they haven't yet so it hasn't been an issue for us.
I would recommend this set to any little boy or girl who loves to dress up and loves superheroes.

(More customer reviews)My son LOVES these blocks. He started with his first set when he was 3 1/2. He got this set for his 4th birthday. He builds all kinds of stuff. So far daddy has to help him build the actual bat cave. He does take the blocks and build his bat cave like structures. I love how he can play with what he builds because the blocks stay together so well. Its a great toy educationally too. It builds fine motor skills and encourages lots of imagination and free play. I would highly recommend these for any child that enjoys building. My two older girls (6 and 9 years old) like to play with these as well.

Fisher-Price TRIO DC Super Friends Joker-Bot Review

(More customer reviews)Fisher-Price says Trio toys are easy to put together, but not really, especially for younger kids. My hands are actually hurting as I try to get the connector pieces as tight as possible. This Joker-Bot supposedly can be configured 3 different ways, but there are only specific directions for one design. The other 2 designs have pictures with what pieces to use, but you have to figure out how to make those designs yourself, which isn't easy for me and is beyond my kids. Then once you do manage to get the Bot built, it comes apart very easily and I'm constantly making repairs and putting pieces back together so my kids can keep playing with it. And if the toy gets dropped, pieces go flying everywhere. In particular, the featured design shown is so unstable that it barely stands on its own and you don't dare move it because the legs will fall off almost immediately. These trio toys (we also have that bat cave and the bat copter) make nice models to have sitting around, but they're so fragile that you really can't play with them. I'm really disappointment with these products and they frustrate my kids because they can't really play with them.

(More customer reviews)Both of my sons love Batman. We have the Imaginext(?) Batout and my kids love it as well as the other toys. We recently discovered Trios and are big fans. The pieces are much larger than Legos--which means that kids are less likely to lose them, plus they can build bigger things more easily. Both my 5 and 7 year old have had great fun building all sorts of different flying contraptions from the Trio BatWing set. We've bought Lego sets designed for 5+ before, but honestly, many of them are too complicated for my kids to put together by themselves. With Trio, both my 5 and 7 year old can follow the directions in the manual and easily create whatever it is they want to create. Then they have the option of creating all sorts of other creations as well. This is a great gift for a Batman fan!

Fisher-Price Trio Fire Rescue Boat Review

(More customer reviews)it is fun to put together and play for a day. But, then my kid got tired of it, and it is not versatile. So, you can only do very similar things. He is not interested in it anymore. In contrast, the generic blocks are a lot more interesting and he likes putting weird things together. At least, they are more stimulating.
