Playskool Dusty the Talking Vacuum Cleaner with Bunus Mini-Vac Review

Our 2 year old does not want to do anything else but play with his "baccum keener". From the time he gets home from daycare until the time he goes to bed at night, he is playing with the vacuum cleaner. I bought it because he has a little fear and fascination with vacuum cleaners. The Playskook Dusty has the bonus mini-vac with it -- and that is the one that I thought he would play with, but he LOVES the floor vacuum cleaner. When he goes to daycare, they have a toy vacuum cleaner there and he runs in the door asking where their "baccum keener" is! :-)

Fisher-Price? Laugh & Learn Learning Vacuum Cleaner Review

Fisher-Price? Laugh and Learn Learning Vacuum Cleaner

I like most of Fisher Price's Laugh and Learn products so I was very disappointed with this vacuum. I have similar complaints as the previous review:
1) The height of the vacuum is VERY short. My daughter is 20 months and on the short side. She almost has to bend over to use it already. I don't know how they market this for up to 3 years of age. It would definitely be too small for a 3 year old.
2) The big purple wheels in the back turn but there is this plastic molding that is in the shape of a wheel underneath the vacuum cleaner that doesn't turn at all. It just drags on the ground. So this would be ok if you use it on carpeting but on hardwood floor, it almost scrapes up the ground. I don't understand by they didn't make this front "wheel" actually spin too.
3) The vacuum doesn't stay upright! It's a pain to store because I have to prop it up with something. If i don't, it just lays on the ground and takes up a lot of space. Everytime my daughter is playing with it, she has to bend all the way to the floor to get to the handle.
4) There aren't many features to this at all. The only features are the on/off switch and the wheels/front part that spin and make music. There is this red knob and green spinning ball that do nothing at all.
5) I don't know why this is called "Laugh and LEARN". There is really no learning. They sing the alphabet so fast that I can barely keep up, let alone a 2 year old.
I haven't looked into any other toy vacuum cleaners but for the price of this, I would have expected it to do a lot more and have better features.

Hasbro Playskool Crew Dusty The Talking Vacuum Review

My daughter has enjoyed "sweeping" since was 18 months old. For her second birthday her favorite aunt bought her Dusty the Talking Vacuum Cleaner and she hasn't stopped cleaning yet! The brightly colored toy is just the right height for little toddlers, the big friendly eyes move around as the sweeper moves, the noises are realistic as you "vacuum" the floor. It takes up very little room so it's easy to stash away. There are sparkly strings inside the cleaning barrel to simulate dust and dirt, and the phrases are hilarious: "Is that a rabbit? Na! It's just a dust bunny...." The pretend brush and nozzle attach to the vacuum too, just like the real thing! Very cute and durable, perfect for a child who loves to help mommy and daddy.

This rolling, rough and tough vacuum cleaner comes alive with animation, realistic sounds and fun activities. Dusty's friend Brushy comes attached, and the two have cleaning fun all day long as they talk to each other. The vacuum cleaner's handle moves up and down just like a real one, and the free-rolling wheels activate 30 fun phrases and realistic vacuum sounds. As the vacuum rolls along, watch the "dirt" swirling in the canister! Measures approximately 10" x 18". Requires 3 "AA" batteries (included). Colors may vary.

Fisher Price Sesame Street 2-In-1 Giggle Vacuum Review

Fisher Price Sesame Street 2-In-1 Giggle Vacuum

I got this for my 10 month old son (ideally for 18 months +) and he loves it! it moves really easily and has a twirling canister with Oscar the Grouch picking up the dirt. It switches from cookie monster to elmo, with both characters saying cute phrases. Also Oscar pops in once in a while with a playfully sarcastic remark. The issue here is that no giggling is involved in this "Giggle" vacuum. For that, it loses a star. But great toy all around!

Pretend homemakers will love "vacuuming" with their favorite Sesame Street characters. This interactive toy features both Elmo and Cookie Monster. Push the vacuum with Elmo facing forward to hear character phrases from Elmo. Then turn it around to make Cookie Monster face forward and hear his phrases. They giggle, too! Oscar the Grouch gets in on the fun as he spins around in the center cylinder while you push the vacuum. Requires 3 "AA" batteries (not included). Measures 20" tall.
