Jawbones Construction Toys (215 Piece) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My eight year-old daughter is bored by most toys, especially legos. This set really inspires the engineer in her, and the pieces are tough, nicely shaped, big enough to see when they are on the floor, and generally well made. I highly recommend this toy. Buy the big set, or maybe two for those kids who really like to build.

Playskool Dusty the Talking Vacuum Cleaner with Bunus Mini-Vac Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Our 2 year old does not want to do anything else but play with his "baccum keener". From the time he gets home from daycare until the time he goes to bed at night, he is playing with the vacuum cleaner. I bought it because he has a little fear and fascination with vacuum cleaners. The Playskook Dusty has the bonus mini-vac with it -- and that is the one that I thought he would play with, but he LOVES the floor vacuum cleaner. When he goes to daycare, they have a toy vacuum cleaner there and he runs in the door asking where their "baccum keener" is! :-)

The Little Einsteins Rocket Monster Truck Review

(More customer reviews)I have purchased many, many Little Einsteins toys for my grandson. He absolutely loves this one, but sadly after ONE WEEK the wheels came off and he was almost injured by the protruding axle. Whoever makes this toy should be ashamed!

Rescue Heroes Mobile Force - Warren Waters & Rover Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I am really proud that Fischer has named one of their Rescue Heroes Warren Waters. That was my Dad's name. He was a real live hero in WWII. He fought against the Nazi's in Germany. My Dad was trying to take out one of the big guns that were shooting down our allied forces planes. In the process my Dad, Warren P. Waters, was shot in the foot and wounded. Quickly he took off his belt and tied it around his left leg as a tourniquet, which saved his life while he was waiting for the medic to arrive. My Dad was given the purple heart medal along with other medals of valor. He came home to America and became another hero in science inventing some of the earliest computer chips that went into telecommunication satellites and the Surveyor space craft that went to the moon. Warren Waters also invented the sound computer chip that went into the Speak and Spell (featured in the movie ET) and the chips that went into the early Atari Game systems. Warren Waters was the scientist who came up with the idea for the first hand held calculator that was later developed by Texas Instruments.
I am buying this toy for my nephew so that he will remember his Grandfather Warren Waters the hero.

LEGO DUPLO Thomas & Friends - Harold the Helicopter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My son just turned three and he got this as a birthday present. Harold makes a great addition to the Lego Thomas sets or he would be great on his own. The pieces are the perfect size for preschoolers' hands and they snap together easily. My son enjoys putting Harold together and loading cargo with the pully.
A fan of all things Thomas AND of anything with propellers, my son plays with Harold for hours. This toy encourages imaginative play and works well with other Duplo blocks. It's sturdy and fun. Highly recommended!

The Little Einsteins Big Jet Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We bought this toy, along with the similar rocket version for our son's birthday. I was thrilled to finally have found a "big jet" toy. However, within hours of opening, the back wheel had fallen off. The wheel on the rocket came off as well. Thinking it a fluke, we took both toys back to the retailer and received new ones. AGAIN, the wheels came off in a short period of time. This time I called Fisher price and explained the situation. I sent them the toy to examine, and received a refund. I have heard no feedback from FP regarding the obvious safety issue.
This toy is marked for ages 3 and up. That is too young an age group, as both wheels are smaller in diameter then a toilet paper tube, and thus fail the consumer product safety standards. My child was luckily supervised during its use, or the wheels might have ended up somewhere else. AVOID!

Alex ABC/123 Dough Cutters Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I used these for gumpaste letters for a birthday cake and was happy with the result. The only problem is with the storage case - I couldn't find a way to close it without the alphabet falling out. Had to find another means of storage for them.

What's in Ned's Head? Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The poor quality of craftsmanship really detracts from the possibility of fun with this game. It is just weird enough to be something the whole family wanted to play with. We were disappointed in the following: Ned's head is polyester stretched over a flimsy metal frame. The fiber filling comes out through the shoddy seamwork. The items one is supposed to "find" in Ned's head are beyond cheap: the disgustingly cool looking cotton swab completely fell apart with the first round of the game; the plastic screw is hollow and came crushed; "the vomit doesn't even have any brown chunks in it!", exclaimed my daughter.
All in all, we were completely disappointed in this game as the potential was definitely there. Play it once and stash it or convert it into a mask for next Halloween's trick or treating!

Medieval Castle (50-6649) - by HABA Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This toy was well worth the money. The blocks are well made and very smooth. My son has had a TON of fun with making the castle and other things with these blocks. Love the fact that it seems we can get more blocks from the same place and the only limit is his growing imagination!

Hasbro Playskool Crew Dusty The Talking Vacuum Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughter has enjoyed "sweeping" since was 18 months old. For her second birthday her favorite aunt bought her Dusty the Talking Vacuum Cleaner and she hasn't stopped cleaning yet! The brightly colored toy is just the right height for little toddlers, the big friendly eyes move around as the sweeper moves, the noises are realistic as you "vacuum" the floor. It takes up very little room so it's easy to stash away. There are sparkly strings inside the cleaning barrel to simulate dust and dirt, and the phrases are hilarious: "Is that a rabbit? Na! It's just a dust bunny...." The pretend brush and nozzle attach to the vacuum too, just like the real thing! Very cute and durable, perfect for a child who loves to help mommy and daddy.

Magneatos (36 Piece Set) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have nothing but positive things to say about this toy. I purchased it for my 1 yr. old, not expecting her to get much play value out of it initially. However, a year later it has brought her -- and her father! -- constant play value. From learning about "apart" and "together, color grouping, magnetic polarity, learning shapes, stringing together, rolling, and everthing in between, the excellence of Magneatos seems basically limitless. And although she can't build complicated structures at this point, she enjoys watching us make different sculptures that she can help manipulate, break apart, and reconstruct. Another fantastic thing about this toy is that the magnets are just the right strength -- they stay stuck together when they need to, but are also easy to pull apart, avoiding frustrating a toddler.
I recommend (and have recommended) this to everyone I know.

Rescue Heroes Nature Crew - Captain Cuffs & Buster Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)How many times can they release Buster the crime fighting, missile launching dog in the Rescue Heroes line??? They just had him come with Bill Barker in the Police Patrol line, with a slightly different color scheme, and he's been released several times before that. If you are new to the line, than the police officer Captain Cuffs and his dog isn't a bad option, but if you have Buster already, you are better off going for Captain Cuffs deluxe figure which comes with a black painted uniform (this figure is in the grey uniform) and a police motorcycle. For a few bucks more, I think the police bike would be more fun than Buster.
