Educational Insights Pupil Magnetic Board-14inx11in Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This product is good quality and works for what it is supposed to do. It is in fact magnetic, it is sturdy and my daughter (19 months) loves it. She can carry it by the rope; which I agree is strangely designed to take up space on the board, a top mounted rope would be just as good, if not better. However, the board is not double sided, which would have been nice. It is about the same size as a standard 'college' marker board and in my opinion, if you can get a magnetic 'college' marker/message board for half the price, why would you spend this money? A good product, but if I were doing it again, I would get a less expensive board. The other educational insights products make a great addition to this board.

Foam Magnetic ABC & 123 (set of 36) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought these to put on my fridge for my one year old grandaughter. She likes to play with the magnets and every time she brings me one I say what the letter or number is. I figure it can't hurt. The only drawback is that some of the letters and numbers are a bit hard to distinguish.

LeapFrog Fridge Wash & Go Magnetic Vehicle Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was so excited when I came across this toy. My 3 year old son loved the farm version of this toy when he was younger. I have 18 month old twins who also love the farm version, so when I saw this item I thought this would be a perfect addition to our refrigerator toy collection. It is educational and entertaining. However, Leapfrog changed the materials used and this "car wash" is not as sturdy as the farm we have from three years ago. The magnet isn't very strong so the toy slides down the refrigerator door. This frustrates my children since they enjoy working on the puzzle while standing. I now give the toy to them while they sit in their highchairs. They enjoy making matches and the vehicles are quite cute. Overall, I still like the toy since it encourages problem solving. The music is also cute and isn't too loud. From recent pictures I've seen of the farm, it looks to me as if it is different from the version I have so I am not sure that the problem I described is limited to this variation of the toy.

Guidecraft 72-pc. Magneatos Construction Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We got this for my son's 4th birthday, and he can't get enough. He loves to build towers, and all sorts of stuff. The only thing is, even with 72 pieces you run out quickly when you're trying to make a big structure.
Some people have complained about the magnets not being strong enough, and their structures falling over. This isn't the case provided that you cross brace your structures (i.e. put a piece diagonal across squares that you build) or build your structures using triangles. There's really no problem building towers that are very large, or very tall.

Speech-language pathologists or special education teachers will find it especially useful for teaching critical thinking skills. It can be used with younger children or as a concrete introduction to how analogies work for older students. Children can have fun playing and learn a great skill at the same time.

VTech ABC Food Fun 26 Magnets Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I got this item after having the letter set. I can definitely say it is older technology as the pieces are harder to place than the letter fit to the newer version. It also talks too much which could cause focusing problems. But it is very fun afterall as my 16 month old goes back to it again and again.
The only complaint, the door, once shut, is very hard to open.
