(More customer reviews)Our children received the Aquadoodle Wall Runner as a holiday gift and we were so excited to get going on it. We already owned the regular Aquadoodle and thought that the wall runner was a fantastic idea. The normal Aquadoodle required us to put it away after each use so the wall runner was a space saving and convenient way for our kids to practice drawing and writing. We think we'll get use out of it, but it could have been so much better, especially for the money.
The runner comes with a miniature version of the water pen even though the Amazon.com CONTENTS list says large pen. It also comes with reusable putty to stick the runner to the wall. We let our kids use it right away but they got bored with it in 5 minutes mainly because it dried much too quickly. Because the material is basically a type of thin paper, it dried maybe 5 times as fast as the regular mat. They got tired of it drying almost as soon as they were done drawing. As I mentioned, the material is basically paper and not the same material as the original mat which is more like fabric. The runner is so thin, I'm afraid our younger child will end up ripping it in pieces. Durability is highly questionable. Also, our younger child quickly figured out how to remove the putty, which is obviously a choking hazard. We had to toss all the putty and replace it with double-sided tape.
Better material on the runner would have made it a fantastic educational toy. I cannot really recommend it as is, especially at the asking price. Just stick to the original mat.

Floral Head Piece Review

It turns out that it fits an adult head, so is really too big for the 4 year old. However, she can wear it back on her head and it still works. It looks close to the picture and is relatively well made.

Sleepy Princess is based on the classic fairy tale where a disheveled young girl shows up at a palace one rainy night and claims to be a princess. The queen tests her by putting her in a bed with dozens of mattresses, pillows and blankets beneath her and a tiny pea buried beneath them all. If she is a real princess, thinks the queen, she will be so delicate that she will feel the discomfort of the pea beneath the huge pile of bedding. Of course, the princess passes the test and is rewarded with the prince of the palace's hand in marriage.
This game is a relatively simple game, all the players have to do is stack the provided mattresses on top of the pea without allowing them to tumble. Children do not need to be able to read to play this game, but it will help them develop their fine motor skills and the cooperative version of the game does away with the winner/loser sensibility that so many American children's games have.
Children will find the charming concept and fun and colorful game pieces (including the adorable wooden princess doll) irresistable. This game is particularly enticing for children who are studying Waldorf or Montessori methods of education, where tactile learning is encouraged.

Fits my 2 year old grandaughter who wears 7 but not my 4 year old grandaughter who wears a big girl 1. I think these are basically size 6 to 9 or s/m little girls.

Cinderella's Enchanted Slipper Game Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this game to entertain my girls during our summer at home. Both my 3 and 5 year olds LOVED it. It is an interesting, yet simple to understand concept. My 3 year old was a little distracted waiting for her turn, but loved every chance she got to press the magic slipper. Only drawback is that there is no "game box" to store in. We just use the box it came in, but it's not designed for that purpose. I thought the game was a bit expensive to have no storage for pieces, etc. This would be a fantastic birthday gift for girls 3-8.

(More customer reviews)Bought this for our girls, 2 and 4. Huge hit, even before the batteries were put in the blow dryer. This set is great for several reasons, and I'll try to list the top few. First, the dryer actually has a little fan in it that whirrs loudly enough to seem real, but not so loud as to disturb the cat when she is getting her fur done. (uncommon for a kid's toy) Also, the nail polish and eyeshadow are both made to open and "use", but no mess. And once you have removed the inner packing materials, the bag is large enough for headband and tiara storage. A must for today's Princess. The one thing I will caution you about is the curling iron. If your child has longer hair like my girls do, it can get tangled when hair is being "curled". Fortunately, the curler has no moving parts, so tangles are discovered long before any permanent damage is done. All in all, a pretty sturdy little set for $15. Great for practice make-overs and such, but probably not for experienced princesses, as there is no actual make-up involved, just imagination. Perfect for my house! No glittery door handles or perfumed pets!

Disney Princess Dress Up Trunk Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my granddaughter's third birthday and had it shipped to their house as I was traveling to see them.
The box was dented on one corner and the trunk inside was in worse shape than the box and had to be taped back together before it could be used. I knew the trunk was cardboard, but a toy for a child this age should be a little sturdier. The clothes and the accessories inside the box were fine and my granddaughter loved them.
Size: She is big for her age and wears a size 4T-5T and the Princess outfits fit her.
Independent play: The tops open all the way down the back and fasten with hook and loop so she can slip them on, but she can't fasten the hook and loop behind her. The skirts are simple elastic waist pull ons and she can change those to heart's desire without help. The little earrings and necklaces also require help, but she really liked them. The shoes seemed very big in relation to the clothing, but she had no trouble walking around in them.
Fun Factor: Five stars! She loved it and played Princess the whole week I was there. She put her other dress up clothes in the trunk and carried them all over the house. Unfortunately, I don't know if the trunk will be able to stand up to that for very long.
Value: Despite my misgivings about the trunk, I think this was well worth the $40+ that I paid for it. The trunk contains three tops and skirts, plus earrings, hair ribbons, tiara, necklaces and shoes.
I would recommend it to a friend.

You can't see where to peel off each of the items to stick, and all of the large stickers like the skirts can't even be place without wrinkles by an adult never mind a 3+ year old child. They are ugly too and do not look like the cover of the package. Don't waste your money.

But I didn't quite get the success I was expecting. (More customer reviews)I just purchased this laptop for my 2 year-old at Target after seeing it on amazon.com. I was shocked at how small it is. It is really no more than 7 inches wide. The screen on the inside is probably about an inch and a half wide. The sound quality is very good, although there is no volume control and it is loud. The songs of course are very sweet and Barbie sounds exactly like she does in the movie. The numbers are hard to find, they are located in the peacock feathers and I was looking all over for them! I am going to take this toy back to Target. My daughter has been asking for a computer, but I think for her age she needs something bigger, with easier to find numbers.
