I decided to email Melissa and Doug with a list of my puzzles and asked them if they would fit. M&D got back to me promptly, and assured me the puzzles would fit. I directed them to the bad reviews and asked if they were sure that the rack would work for me and they reiterated that it would. I decided to order it, and am pleasantly surprised to say that all my puzzles fit , beautifully - chunky, peg, big knob, and even some non M&D ones. Everyone including my husband is really complimentary of the rack and how it solved a storage issue. I highly recommend it and am glad I gave it a chance.

As soon as I took the plastic off I realized my prescooler could not play with it. The picture is seperateing from the backing, it is splintering terribly. We are very dissapointed. Really, save your money!

It's also pretty inexpensive for a storage case, not to mention that the class actually likes to put the puzzles away with this case!

(More customer reviews)This is a great puzzle for a preschooler. It is a bit abstract in nature and my son enjoys playing with it. After awhile however, it has to be rotated out for something else, because we know that kids get bored very quickly with the same toy over and over. I have a 4 year old and an almost 3 year old and purchased it about 6 months ago, and I figure this is one of those things that both will enjoy and anyone would want as a hand me down later on. It didn't hurt that I was able to buy it at a clearance price.

Melissa & Doug Train Sound Puzzle Review

However... it's really annoying. The train sound goes off ALL the time, not just when the last piece is inserted.
I put the toy away on a shelf and everytime someone walks past, jostling it ever so slightly, it Choo-Choos.
Also, every time I open or shut the door to the room, it Choo-Choos.
Also, every time I turn on or off the overhead light in the room (oddly enough), it Choo-Choos.
And this is after seperating the pieces from the board by putting them in seperate bags in seperate rooms.
But like I said, the kids love it... and my fiance has a good sense of humor about it always going off when nobody's playing with it. He thinks it's funny. I'm wondering how long it'll take the batteries to die.
