The remote is easy to handle and only has two buttons, forward and backward, however the train can go in circles when pressing the back button. The train makes a toot toot sound right before the train stops. Also plays the instrumental Thomas theme song, taught my son with Autism how to hum the song. No wires, sturdy, works indoors and outside, batteries last a long time, great price for a remote toy. Highly recommend!

(More customer reviews)This is a great game (options of tic tac toe or bingo) however probably is best for kids 3 and a half or older. It has a dice tower that is a pretty cool way to roll the dice, but it is made of cardboard and tore on one of the seams after just a few uses. Otherwise, the game seems very durable and a fun way to incorporate the Thomas characters into some common games.

Most of the past reviews were unfavorable, but I thought the toy was so cute and the idea of a Thomas the Train bath toy was great since my son loves Thomas. The idea is great, but the quality is poor. Here's why: The toy connects in pieces such that you have a floating Island of Sodor, and Thomas can ride up and down the track into a blue tower with an elevator mechanism. What doesn't work well is that the pieces don't fit well together so the island actually breaks apart when any slight pressure is placed upon the toy. And because the island doesn't stay together, the other parts like the tunnel don't stay on either. My son loves this toy, but we can't make it through bath time without it breaking apart. I am willing to attempt a repair just so we can keep playing with it, but you shouldn't have to do that. This toy is a great concept, but could have been made more durable.

Thomas and Friends Pump n' Go Thomas Review

(More customer reviews)My son just received this toy and was quite excited about it, but that fizzled when we tried it out. We attach the train, pump 10 times, and push the button (kind of hard for a 3 year-old), and Thomas moves sedately away like he was pushed by an undernourished kitten. Definitely does not live up to the marketing, but would love to know if someone else has better luck in case we're doing something wrong or have a faulty unit.

(More customer reviews)Just bought this for my 4 year old who LOVES Thomas. He's been so excited about it! The tracks were kind of hard to keep together since the oval it created wasn't exact. There were tracks that stick up at the joints because of this. It didn't seem to matter much since the whole track is supposed to be bumpy and at least it stayed together pretty well. Thomas does get stuck and jumps off the tracks on occasion but that seems to add to the fun of it. The bridge rails that fall down are easy to put back up. It was his first motorized Thomas and he is very happy with it.

It is easy to play, you just spin the spinner and follow the trains on the tracks. The detours make the game different each time, yet the game is still fast to play, so parents don't go crazy waiting for the game to end. I am recommending it to friends, and to grandpa and grandma so they have one at their house.

(More customer reviews)I wish I had read the other review of this truck before I bought it, but who would think it necessary to read reviews of a train/truck? This is the first Thomas wooden vehicle I have bought that I am not happy with at all. As stated in the other review, the trailer is not really attached to the truck, so you can never carry Madge around in one piece. My son has had the truck for 10 minutes and he has asked me to "fix it" about 100 times. Every time he picks Madge up, the trailer becomes unattached. If he moves the truck too fast (imagine a 3 year old doing that), the trailer becomes unattached. The vehicle looks great and is good quality like the other vehicles but is no good for playing.

Thomas and Friends Bathtub Squirters Review

(More customer reviews)My 3 year-old son LOVES tub toys, especially tub squirters, so I thought these would be perfect - given his obsession with Thomas the Tank Engine. And truth be told, he does like playing with them. But ...
* they don't float upright! They float lying on their sides.
* they're stiff & difficult to completely fill with water. If you want the water to squirt out the top of the train's funnel (like steam) they have to be totally full and you have to squeeze pretty hard. It's too difficult for my 3 year-old. When only partially filled (which is normal) you have to turn them upside down to get them to squirt. They squirt well like that - a nice steady stream - but kind of defeats the purpose.
Overall, my son likes them, but does get frustrated when they don't float upright. He likes playing with them out of the tub too. But, if I would have know the above things, I'm not sure I would have bought them. Even though they are only $10.

(More customer reviews)We've had this toy for about 6 months now... its easy to clean and my 2 year old son loves it. We did read the many negative reviews, but because it wasn't much money and my son is obsessed with Thomas the train... we thought we'd get it. And I'm glad we did. I think the trick to keeping the track up is wetting the suction cups before "sliding" them down in place. That seems to help and it doesn't fall down.
