I If you get one for your child, you can tell them you are getting them a toy, but what you are really getting is the little helper for yourself. I have a four year old daughter and got her a Timebuddy about couple months ago and we all are extremely happy about it. She thinks its a toy, because she customized it herself, chose all the activity stickers and we recorded the messages together. She keeps it on her dresser and instead of asking me what to do next, she goes to her room, looks at the clock and then tells me" Mommy, its time to take a bath" or "Mommy its time to go to school". I find it amazing. Even if it eliminates half of the "Is it time yet?" questions for your child, I think it is worth every penny. The Timebuddy is easy to use, very colorful and very kid and parent friendly. I think there should be at least one Timebuddy in every household.

The colours used attract an infant's eye, which is really great. Some pages crinkle, some squeak. There are three in a box so the baby doesn't get bored of them. All three have three pages, handles that have toys on them, and each page has an image front and back. Our daughter is almost 1 now and she loves to read us stories from her books. It's her moment to read to us, it's fun.

I love the Richard Scarry's theme and the fact that the players don't actually play against each other.
They are a team- My 5 five year old daughter is at an age where she hates it when she loses so this works great.
As an adult, I also enjoyed playing this with my daughter- which is really saying something.
The game board and pieces are very good quality as well.
I highly recommend this game for your family or a gift.

I would highly recommend this for air or car travel as this is only requires water and doesn't endanger the surrounding with markers, paint etc.

A+ Childsupply Book Display with Easel and Shelf Review

(More customer reviews)This was waiting on my doorstep 2 days after order. I put it together myself and it was not difficult, although it would have been easier with a helper. It took about 20 minutes to assemble. It is a nice looking bookshelf in soft neutral wood tone. My 6 year old son enjoys looking at his books and moving them around. We are a book family so we won't outgrow this shelf. You could skip shelves and display larger coffee table type art books or magazines, I can see that we will use this for years. It is a nice place to put books that get forgotten when stacked and unseen. I have wanted one of these for a long time and I am very happy with this purchase. It's a good price for the quality. If you have beautiful books take the plunge - this item is not just for children.
We currently have it placed against the wall, but the white board and storage below are a nice second usage feature and it is light enough for an adult to easily move to take full advantage of both the back storage area and white board features. One word of warning an enthusastic toddler or two might be able to push this over if left unsupervised and this item is not pushed flush against the wall.

Giddy-up Princess Mini Blendy Storybook Box Activity Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 4 yr. old grandchild. The main activity involves the included stencils. The stencils are made up of very small figures with very thin lines therefore it's difficult to punch out the shapes without tearing out a piece that's not supposed to be open. An adult MUST do the stencil punching and even for me it was hard. The "blendy" part of this activity is impossible for anyone under 7-10 to do adequately. It involves twisting oppposite ends of the pens in opposite directions several times to get any result at all. It requires a "wringing" motion that a child of 4 can't master, especially as it requires some force to turn. I've never reviewed a product before but I really hate for someone else to buy this thinking it looks like fun. It does look like it, but it is not. Those tiny stencils are ridiculous!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - Game Review

(More customer reviews)I was very exicted when my son got this game for Christmas, but my excitement was short-lived.
1. The game pieces are flimsy: four tiny cardboard boxes that fold together. Even before we played the first game, one of them was coming apart. There is no way that these pieces will last more than a couple weeks.
2. The instructions aren't clear. Are players supposed to stop at the "food" spaces no matter what, or only if they land on them? We played both ways.
3. Both ways were dull. It is just not very exciting or imaginitive.
The only good thing is that the game should fall apart quickly, so I'll have an excuse to get rid of it.

It's very big (bigger than I expected) and the colors are really bright. It's easy for little hands to use because of it's size and the ink is washable, so it's easy to wash off hands and wash off of counters/clothing.

The game is not expensive, and is developmentally appropriate for pre-reading children, helping in developing visual skills. My two year old granddaughter likes it, and quickly learned the principle of "taking turns" as we completed matching small cards to the large picture cards. The game, although fun for a very young child, is fairly limited. Older children will probably not be very interested in it, once they are able to read, other games will be more fun.

Kids Preferred Guess How Much I Love You Soft Book Review

(More customer reviews)Not only is this a classic book (abbreviated in this cloth version of course) it is the best soft book I've come across. We have a 6 month old and this has been her favorite toy/book/teether ever since she could control her little arms. She loved it even before she could touch it.
Pros-
* ALL the pages have the crinkle paper (not just the first page like most soft books).
* the textured teething heart is thin enough that my little one can grab it easily.
* "Press" button makes a kissing noise and says "I love you". Has not worn out in the 6 months we've been using it
* Another favorite feature is the "binding" which is almost like a soft rubberized coating. I really don't know what the material is, but my daughter also loves to chew on it. She has had two teeth since four months and there are no teeth marks.
Con-
* Cleaning directions are: surface wash. I wish I could just throw it in the washing machine - but I'm sure the "voice" inside isn't waterproof. :-) The same is true for almost all of my daughters cloth toys- surface wash only.
This is my "go to" item. I'll be gifting all new babes with this awesome book.
