Mega Bloks Diego at Jaguar Mountain Bucket Review

Mega Bloks Diego at Jaguar Mountain Bucket
Average Reviews:

I got this set along with two other Diego Mega Brands sets for my 5 year old for Christmas. All the sets can be used together, and really gives my kids some extra pieces to pretend with. Both my older son and his 2-year-old brother have lots of fun building different animal adventure scenes.
We also got a pack of cheapy, plastic toy wild animals to go along with this...you can find those just about anywhere for just a dollar or two. And with all of the extra animals we added, they really enjoy themselves (...and no fighting over the only jaguar that comes with this set!!!)
Well-made, sturdy toy set that will likely be around for a while.

I bought this thinking it would fit with my daughter's huge collection of Mega Bloks. When it arrived, I was shocked to find that all the pieces are tiny and do NOT fit with her Mega Bloks. My daughter LOVES Dora, but is not interested in this toy. Save your $ and buy something else!

VTech Infant Learning Light-up Learning Camera Review

VTech Infant Learning Light-up Learning Camera
Average Reviews:

This toy camera was a gift, and as it looked pretty cool, we decided to save it for a big car trip that we were taking our 9 month old daughter on. She was delighted when we gave the camera to her, and played with it for hours. We decided to leave this toy in the car, as we like for her to be entertained while we are on the road. She absolutely adores this camera. And one of the best things about it is the variety of songs and sounds it has. My wife and I find ourselves singing those goofy songs from time to time. Recently, we lost this camera, and we are currently ordering another one. When you consider how much some toys are and how monotonous and repetitious sounding they are, this camera is a no-brainer.

Mega Bloks Diego's Buildable Rescue Vehicle Review

Mega Bloks Diego's Buildable Rescue Vehicle

Santa brought this set to my 3yo son. While my little guy needs help building the pictured truck, he invents his own simpler truck. Mega Bloks/Legos are great for developing little kids' small motor skills and imaginations. The direction packet that comes with this set suggests several different vehicles that can be built; I like that it's a set of a BUNCH of blocks, not just a bunch of accesories for a single vechicle. Lots of open ended play. Shop around for best price though.

Mega Bloks Diego's African Safari Review

Mega Bloks Diego's African Safari
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This was one of two Diego Mega Bloks sets that I got for my 5 year old for Xmas. He's old enough for smaller legos, but because he has a 2 year old brother, I've been hesitant to bring those "chokables" into our house. This was a great compromise: both my kids can play with this and no choking hazard, really. There are some small pieces, but I think it was a good investment. They can (and do) build lots of different play-things out of this one set, so they can really be imaginative. All of the pieces are sturdy and durable, so I think this set will be around for a long time.

If you have a Diego- or animal-loving kid in your life, let them join in the critter-rescuing fun with this African safari set. Dora's older cousin is out saving wildlife in need with the help of friends Juma and Baby Jaguar. An electronic computer plays animal sounds to help you figure out which animal is currently in a desperate situation. The amazing details on the baby elephant, giraffe, and baboon make it easy to make up dangerous circumstances, while the all-terrain vehicles help Juma and Diego execute the rescue missions.

Once the animals are safe and sound, the electronic computer can play fun Latin beats that you can dance around to. Maybe the animals will join in the fun, too! If kids are too small to create their own heroics, they can follow along with the included activity cards. Other accessories in the set include: fully articulated 2.5" Diego and Juma figures, two vehicles for the African terrain, the park ranger's office, Baby Jaguar, three animals, a tree, and 45 interchangeable pieces. Three 1.5v non-rechargeable batteries are also included so that the fun can start right out of the box.

Leapfrog Clickstart Educational Software:Go Diego Go Review

Leapfrog Clickstart Educational Software:Go Diego Go

Diego is one of 4 ClickStart games we own for my son (age 5) and it by far the best. The games progress well, offer understandable feedback and are lots of fun. I also think it is the best visually that I have seen with the Diego character doing lots of entertaining things.
I would warn that this game requires a MUCH higher level of hand coordination than others, it is very video game like - so I would not recommend for those under 5.
Also, it may be worth noting that I liked this game even though I find the show kind of annoying.

Go Diego Go Talking Rescue Radio Review

Go Diego Go Talking Rescue Radio
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this item for my soon-to-be 3 yr. old grandson, who loves Diego. The online description is not very complete as to exactly what this toy does, however the box states "16 animal rescues" on the front and back of the box. There are four animals on the screen and there are sound effects for each of these; however there is no way to access more than these four. I would say it is deceptive, to say the least. I plan to call FP tomorrow to see what they say. I probably will be returning it though because as cute as it appears, even my almost 3 yr. old would get bored pretty quickly with the repitition of the four animals.

Mega Bloks Diego's Animal Rescue Center Review

My 3-year old daughter loves this toy. There are lots of ways to arrange the blocks into different treehouse-style configurations. Also, I was relieved to find that these are compatible with Lego-brand Duplo blocks. Diego has swiveling wrists/hands in order to grasp the zip-line. But, other figures may lack this feature and be unable to hold-on to it like Diego does.

Go Diego Go 5-in-1 Talking Utility Tool Review

Go Diego Go 5-in-1 Talking Utility Tool
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My 3 year old daughter loves pretending to be Dora and Diego, and saw this at a local store and begged for it for her birthday. It requires THREE watch type batteries, which cost us $10. That was a month ago, and the batteries are already dead. It's not as fun as you'd think, as the "tools" don't really do anything. There is a button that you press and Diego says a few things, but that's about it. There's a "magnifying glass" that flips up, which doesn't actually magnify. Oh, and it will clip onto a belt, if you get an adult to help you as it's really tough to do. Not worth the money, there are other more fun things in the line.

Fisher-Price Go Diego Go My Talking Rescue Pack Review

Fisher-Price Go Diego Go My Talking Rescue Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First, the $30 is it listed for is not worth it! I know I paid a lot less than this when I purchased it from Amazon when it first came out.
My 2 1/2 year old (3 now) enjoyed playing with this when he first got it. It is nicely made and comes with a baby jaguar, a cast for the jaguar's foot, a plastic xray and stethascope. My son never plays with any of these things. He uses the backpack to carry around his own little "treasures".
The volume is a bit loud, but it's not that often that he presses for it to talk. He did have it talk and sing all the time when he initially got it. The novelty of a talking backpack wore off and he uses it primarily as a little tote.
Most toys like these will provide short term entertainment and my son will always go back to the trusty hot wheels cars and playdoh. For the price I paid for it, it was worth it to see how excited he was to get Diego's backpack. Plus, it sparked some imaginitive play which I enjoy seeing him do. For the price they're asking for it now($30)...I would have to say that I probably wouldn't purchase it.
