Fisher-Price Steel Force Dump Truck Review

Fisher-Price Steel Force Dump Truck
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I searched many stores and the internet to find my son his first dump truck for my 12mth old. I wanted something that would be appropriate for his age (not all metal) but something that wasn't entirely rubber. This is a great dump truck. It is very durable. Looks great. He loves to fill up the back and dunp it out.

Fisher-Price Rock, Roll 'n Ride Trike Review

Fisher-Price Rock, Roll 'n Ride Trike
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great toy. We gave it to my best friend's daughter for her 2nd birthday and she loved it instantly. There is NO design flaw. What people have trouble with is that when you screw together the wheel fork & steering wheel, the hole is only pre-drilled to a certain point. The other 3/4" you need to drill in yourself-into the plastic so that it stays secure. If it were pre-drilled all the way in, it would fall out. It's like that on purpose!
That said, the a power screw driver or drill with a screwdriver bit worked great. You also need a hammer to tap in some pieces on the wheels. It was easy to assemble.
I was a little worried about the handle height. I'm 5'8" and I could easily push it without bending over. I think people over 5'10" would have to bend down. Since the mom is going to be doing most of the pushing, and she's shorter than me, it won't be a problem. I hear the XL version of this trike has a longer handle.
It's really easy to convert from rocker to trike, and her 5-year-old cousin figured it out in under 5 minutes. The seat is adjustable to accommodate growth.
Hope this helps!

We purchased this vehicle for our 2-year-old. It is perfect for him as it is not too big and not too small. He is able to see well (like the child pictured on the photo) and that helped him learn how to steer as well. It is only 6-volts so it is not too fast either. Great starter for the world of boy/man toys to come :)

John Deere - Sit N Scoot Buck With Lights And Sounds
Average Reviews:

I recently purchased this toy for my grandson who is 21/2 yrs old. I was very disappointed with it's size. It is really too small for him to ride. The wheels don't turn and my grandson was disappointed that it didn't have a horn. He was here when it arrived and was thrilled to have a "John Deere" so I didn't return it. Hopefully I'll have other grandchildren who will get some use out of it.

Sesame Fly with Elmo Ride-On Review

Sesame Fly with Elmo Ride-On
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My son is 9 months old, and he is in love with his Fly With Elmo Ride On! He needs help to actually ride the toy since he is not quite big enough to get on it and push himself, but he scoots it and plays with it by himself all over the living room. It has lots of buttons to push, sounds and music, and the propeller lights up as it spins. The wings also have propellers that he can turn to make a ratcheting noise. Under the seat is a storage compartment that he loves to hide blocks and such in. Each side has a little window that he can open or close to reveal different characters. The Elmo on the front of it moves and talks. We have only had this toy for a few weeks, and I swear that the baby is going to wear out the batteries from playing with it constantly! As I have mentioned, he needs supervision with it. This is in part because of his small stature. The plastic wheels are slippery on our laminate flooring though, and the airplane has the potential to tip over if you have an especially rough child. As with any toy, supervision is recommended. My baby has enjoyed this toy, so its money well spent.

The fun really takes off for preschoolers when they climb on this Elmo-themed ride-on. Slide right into the pilot's seat, and Elmo is waiting as your co-pilot. Turn the propellers on the wings for a cool ratcheting sound. Push the propeller button or the green buttons on the steering wheel to watch the propeller spin around and light up. The plane's eyes move and its entire body lights up as well! On the steering wheel, slide Elmo in his airplane to hear fun phrases, or turn the gearshift or the key for more sound effects. Requires 3 "AA" batteries, included. Measures 24"L x 19"W x 13"H. Holds up to 65 pounds. Assembly required. Adult supervision recommended.

National Products 6V Battery Operated Talking Train with Track Review

National Products 6V Battery Operated Talking Train with Track
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First, I want to say that I was very hesitant about purchasing this train, but I saw it on sale and thought I would take a chance. I'm glad I did, the train is very stable on the tracks. It makes alot of fun sounds that are very realistic. I have 3 children with the oldest at 60lbs and my other 2 are no more than 45lbs. All 3 rode the train and it was not a difference because the weight limit is 44bls. I think the track is rathter big and I'm pleased with this purchase. The seat is very roomy and your little one can tuck a teddy bear or a favorite toy in the extra car. NICE! MY KIDZ LUV IT.
Also, I research alot of Trains before I purchase this one, the Sante Fe train was too small and a little flimsy! I wanted to get Thomas the Train but it was very hard to find and a little too pricey for me. So once I saw this one, but could not find one review on it on the internet.... I just decided to take a chance. I'm just glad I did.. My kids are having a blast. I hope this review help you if you are looking into buying a train for your little one. I paid 99.00 (jcpenney w/ discount code) it's was well worth it.

Peg Perego John Deere Farm Tractor & Trailer Review

I bought this for my son a year ago for his 3rd birthday. He loved it then and still does. It does not ride well on grass unless you are going down hill. However, we go all over the neighborhood on the sidewalks. He is as proud as can be while he rides it. We have not had any durability problems and he rides it a lot. I think this toy will be passed down to our 1 year old in good condition for many more years of enjoyment.

Our dare devils LOVE their motorcycles!! We ordered two, one for our 2 yr old and one for our 3 yr old. They both have a blast racing up and down our driveway. This toy flies, and goes much faster downhill than any toy we have had. We have not had an issue with stability as stated in other reviews. It is important to consider toys for children, not always by age, but individual development. Great toy, thanks step 2!!

Radio Flyer My 1st Scooter Red Review

(More customer reviews)
My husband bought this scooter for my daughter who will soon be two after seeing how much she wanted to ride the neighbor kids' razors. My daughter jumped up and down with joy after seeing the toy. As soon as she got on she knew what to do. This toy is so SAFE, in comparison to any other competition! The base for the foot is almost a foot wide. Also the two wheels in front help balance our child more so than the two wheel in back ones. It is also fun for her to sit down on the center portion and us to pull her around on it. It is made out of the same plastic material as the RadioFLyer wagons, so it is really durable. It did not break when I stood on it and I weigh 140. I am pretty sure it is not cleared for that heavy of a person..but I had to try it. Overall GREAT toy! Safer than a Trike too, since she is not having to climb over the middle section..she just steps off.

Hasbro Playskool Kid Motion Bounce 'N Go Inch-Along Review

Hasbro Playskool Kid Motion Bounce 'N Go Inch-Along
Average Reviews:

I had one of these as a child, I remember having so much fun on it. I decided to get my child one so he could experience the same. The toy I remembered moved forward when you bounced on it, as you bounced it also made a noise that I can only describe as 'a playing card in the bicycle spokes' sound.
This toy does not move forward, nor does it make sounds. Up and down are the only things it contributes to playtime. My 18 month old likes it every now and then to bounce on, but other than that he still prefers the push truck, complete with noise for $[...] at Wal-Mart.

Step 2 Up & Down Roller Coaster Review

Step 2 Up and Down Roller Coaster
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As you might imagine, there are a few drawbacks to this toy. I'll list them before the praise.
First, kids under 3 are going to occasionally hurt themselves. It's recommended for children 2-5, but, let's be honest, if you have an 18-month-old that can walk, you're going to put them on it. They can ride it and will love it, but they will need help getting on; they have to learn to hold their feet up on the car or out to avoid the wheels; and they occasionally forget the need to hold on to the bar. We use a loader and a catcher (mom and dad) for anyone under 3. Even a three-year-old will occasionally just fall off while getting on or run into another kid, if more than one kid present. But the toy is designed low enough to the ground that injuries should be more tears than actual bruises (unless you use it outside on your concrete driveway).
Second, the toy takes a lot of space if you use it indoors, or even if you just plan to store it someplace when it's not being used.
Third, this type of activity can often be short-lived. Don't buy this and expect it to be used every day for hours. My kids didn't play with it every day, so I started keeping it in the garage and bringing it out for special occasions like rainy days and visiting friends. They kids will play with the coaster for about 15-20 minutes each, at the most.
Fourth, you'll need to closely supervise the use of this toy, especially if there's more than one kid playing with it. For kids under 4, you may be doing a bit of work yourself in getting them on and pushing them back to the top. For the older kids, you may just referee and make sure that nobody stands in front of the track.
Now that may sound like a lot of negatives for a toy that I rated a 5, but you simply cannot have this much active fun inside the house without a trampoline or a really big ball pit. For children ages 2 and 3, this toy is more exciting than most adults would expect. The coaster is a solid construction and easy to put together and take apart in seconds. It even holds an adult should you want to test it out for yourself. Even older kids 5-6 love it, but you have to watch them a little as they try to increase the fun by doing more daring things like going down backwards. Finally, the editorial review was exactly right-the car does get used separately from the track and (when I kept my track out all the time) the kids played on it with matchbox cars and balls on a daily basis (it just took too much space in our play room). I wish they made toys like this when I was a kid.

My son got 2 ride ons for his first birthday. We got the Tonka Scoot 'n Scoop and my grandma got him this Little People ride on Bus. He opened the Little People one first and that was the end of opening presents. He just wanted to play with this toy. He loves being pushed around and my 2.5 yr old daughter and him take turns riding while the other pushes. He LOVES it! He doesn't like the Tonka ride on very much at all so this is the way to go.
The only problem with the toy is the handle on the back doesn't *snap* in or anything. It can come out if the kids lift it up.
Great product.

Mega Bloks Cat 3 - In - 1 Ride - On Dump Truck Review

Mega Bloks Cat 3 - In - 1 Ride - On Dump Truck
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love the look of this toy. I purchased it for my godson (just turned one) who is a strong walker and typical tough boy. It looks cute as anything and I have been happy w/ all of my son's (2 yrs old), "CAT" tractors, trucks etc. I wanted to have the cool "big boy" present, unfortunately it doesn't hold up to a boy's love, The dump truck bed continues to fall off, which makes it easier to ride but a pain for mom and dad to put on all of the time. I expected much better quality. I wouldn't buy it again.

Click Here to see more reviews about: Mega Bloks Cat 3 - In - 1 Ride - On Dump Truck

With realistic truck sounds and building blocks, the 3-in-1 Ride On Dump Truck makes working fun. Toddlers will have a blast scooping up toy bricks and small toys, dumping them out of the dump bed, and driving a vehicle for the very first time. Recommended for children from one to three years old, this dump truck helps young ones transition from crawling, to walking, to riding! Ride, Dump, and Build with Blocks Perfectly built for little bodies, the 3-in-1 Ride-On Dump Truck is the right height for kids who still spend much of their time crawling and playing on the floor. Toddlers can easily roll the dump truck around with them as they walk or stand, supported by the ergonomic handle on the dump bed. With the truck bed up, kids can ride the truck facing forward with their hands low on the steering wheel, or with their hands higher on the dump handle. Although the truck doesn't unload on its own, the light truck bed lifts up and slides back easily. Made from tough, durable plastic with safe, rounded edges, this Caterpillar brand dump truck holds up to long days of play. Like the real thing, this truck stands out with a bright yellow and black design. The 10 included Maxi Mega Blocks attach to each other for fun building and connect to spots in the dump bed, to the left and right of the truck, and on the steering wheel. The same color as the steering wheel and its buttons, these blocks are red, black, and gray.Realistic Dump Truck Sounds As exciting as the building and dumping action are the fun sound effects the truck makes. Turning on this dump truck, kids are immediately transported to the sounds of a construction site. By pushing one of three buttons on the steering wheel, the driver hears the truck's engine starting up and blowing exhaust, the truck's horn honking, or the truck dumping. The truck creates engine sounds when pushed forward; rolled backward, it beeps to make sure no one's in the truck's blind spots. Whether or not construction sounds are a part of your daily life, the toy's realistic noises can grow a little tiresome. Thankfully, the toy doesn't have to be turned on to be played with and comes completely assembled. While this dump truck is too heavy for children to pick up, its design is compact enough for parents to move it with one hand from one room to the next, or quickly pack it in the back seat of the car. What's more, the 3-in-1 Ride-On Dump Truck is compatible with standard Maxi Bloks, allowing young ones to make even bigger and better creations.

Step2 Push Around Buggy Review

Step2 Push Around Buggy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this toy for my daughter's first birthday, and everyone in the family absolutely loves it. My daughter thinks that she is such a big girl driving around the neighborhood, and she prefers it to her stroller, hands down. It is sturdy, turns well, and looks cute. The removable handle is wonderful for trips as the car fits in our trunk beautifully. The handle is a godsend for parents since you will definitely be pushing this around many times for a long time. The storage compartment is really fantastic also - for all of those treasures that must go along. I think that it would be neat if the car made more realistic sounds, but my daughter doesn't mind in the least. She loves it. My only suggestion to Step2 would be to put little doors on the side so that children will not be tempted to drag their feet on the ground which my daughter occasionally does. However, parenting is not as much fun in the vehicular department without this toy. As my husband said, "this is one of the best toys that you have brought home!!!" Go get one today

Little Tikes Rocking Puppy Review

Little Tikes Rocking Puppy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We wanted some kind of ride-on toy for our son for his first Xmas, but he was only 10.5 mos. and not walking yet, so the rockin' puppy was not exactly something he could play with independently. He seemed to enjoy it at first - as long as we were rocking him. Then it became another toy taking up space in the livingroom for the last month. Recently he has been making his way over to it and begging for us to rock him. It is durable and requires almost no installation. He has learned to stand up in it and climbs down just fine. If you're not worried about minor bumps, let your infant try different ways of riding. My son's cousins, between 2-7 years all enjoy the rockin' puppy. For the price, it is a good first ride-on and I don't regret the purchase. One word of caution, however, Rockin' Puppy is unsuitable for interchanging between inside/outside use if left uncovered in the rain...If water gets into it, it is nearly impossible to get out and will also leak water inside.

Playskool Step Start Walk 'n Ride - Colors May Vary
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Let me start by saying that my 10 month old LOVES this toy. She likes both modes (walk behind and ride on) and she really likes the toys on the body. I would agree with the other reviewer who said that this is a carpet area only walker. The design of this toy is bizarre at best. In order to get the toy from ride on to walker, you have to "snap" the handle into place. This is not easy. It's not impossible, but it does take some practice and the first few times she used it I didn't get the handle secured properly. Also, this toy will tip over. My baby likes to walk to the side of both of her walkers but the other walker has a more stable base. Although I wouldn't recommend this toy as a first walker or a walker for a non-carpeted area (for that I recommend Elmo's Grow and Go Walker Mower by Fisher Price), I do like the fact that this toy has two functions.

It's 2 toys in 1! As a sturdy, stable walker, the Step Start Walk 'n Ride toy helps babies learn to stand, take their first steps, and walk. As the grow older, it easily converts to a first ride-on toy! It has a locking mechanism that only parents can activate, so children can't change modes by themselves. Kids can explore the hands-on activities in both the walker and ride-on modes to see fascinating sights, hear silly sounds and touch interesting textures. Adult assembly required
